I generally don't mind CG when it's done right. But I'd say they should clean it up a bit in this one. Part of what it means to be done right is to avoid being too obvious or different from the rest of the animation. The CG stands out like a sore thumb in this case.

The first time I looked at this, I was like "wtf? Since when has Zena become a Centaur that pulls Satou's carriage?!" I mean don't you see it? Satou holding the reins of "Zena the Centaur"?
Also I think this is the first time we get to see the anime versions of Nana and Mia.

I only just noticed, but they actually messed up the synopsis...
"29-year-old programmer Suzuki Ichirou finds himself transported into a fantasy RPG. Within the game, he's a 15-year-old named Satou. At first he thinks he's dreaming, but his experiences seem very real. Due to a powerful ability he possesses with limited use, he ends up wiping out an army of lizard men and becomes a high leveled adventurer. Satou decides to hide his level, and plans to live peacefully and meet new people. However, developments in the game's story, such as the return of a demon king, may cause a nuisance to Satou's plans." Director Ounuma seems to be cursed, that's already at least the second time such a thing happened. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry had a similar problem.

I could have sworn that Rakudai, before it aired, had a synopsis on various sites that was just as messed up as in the case of Death March, but now that I think about it, maybe I am mixing it up with something else.
The problem with Death March is obviously that the synopsis implicates that the protagonist goes "into a game", which is false. It's just a game-like fantasy world. The difference seems small, but it's actually an enormous difference, escpacially with that last part about "developments in the game's story" is total BS! Nothing like that ever happened. It seems the author of the synposis doesn't know the slightest about this series. That whole "developments in the game's story" would much better fit to a LN like "My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending", where such a scenario actually happens.

First episode is out on Crunchyroll.
It felt rather blend imo except for the world fiction so far. Kinda curious to see how they will adapt that world. I'm going to have to get used to Satou's voice too in this show. They didn't introduce most of the main girls yet so we'll probably see more of them as the story progresses. Is this also 1 or 2 cour? At the moment, I think it's unconfirmed.
