mmm...Shizuku said her self that she is like to kiss younger boy anime episode 6 (indicate that she's older than Natsuru), but since she is Sakura childhood friend, and Sakura in the same grade with Natsuru, I think the age gap between Natsuru and Shizuku not so big. May be a month or two. Shizuku probably skip grade because her talent and become SC president in her current grade, while Sakura and Natsuru still in lower grade

Mikoto younger than Natsuru (it states in Manga) but not very clearly, and she is in same grade with Natsuru too. And her lockpicking skill remind me to Jill Valentine (Resident Evil 3 and 5)

By the way, i went back and read the chapters again, but is it just me or does it seem the story losing its steam slowly?

It was maintaining a rather slightly dark undertone in the background with the battle royale and all, but its diminishing.

Actually what is this story trying to be?Its trying to be comedy romance haremy or dark actiony?

-kampfer form is shown to like him a bit

SHIZUKU
-student president and also an enemy kampfer
-confirmed feelings of Natsuru to the point of teasing him indirectly and physically...
-wields a dagger with chain version of a zweihander (due to handguard)
-known to be cunning, albeit manipulative and very sly to get what she wants
-nickname is 'kitsune/fox girl', 'student president', 'demon' (natsuru),

MIKOTO
-childhood friend of natsuru and known to be very active and lively
-confirmed feelings for natsuru but he himself is not aware of it (so dense)
-kampfer form makes her into a more aggressive girl in fights and for the quest
-wields a katana that can cut through anything
-modesty is low when natsuru is involved and is previously jealous of k. natsuru
-nickname is 'hyperactive girl', 'wants to attract natsuru to her'
-also an enemy kampfer

SAKURA
-childhood friend of natsuru and is currently pursuing a relationship with k. natsuru
-the giver of the animal dolls that tend to become messengers
-becomes a white kampfer that has dual personalities... her own and her kampfer's that is after natsuru
-weapon is still unknown
-nickname is 'annoying girl', 'lesbian/yuri girl', 'evil personality'

and our hero....

NATSURU
-a full fledged guy that became a full girl when in kampfer form
-is a Procrastinating Undecided Slow Sissy Youth or PUSSY
-has four girls vying for his heart (sakura is after his kampfer form)
-has unconditional admiration for sakura
-wields fire elemental magic
-for some reason, he looks HOT in girl form...
-all girls want to be with his girl form due to the school paper stating him to be into yuri
-is relatively a DENSE guy...
-nickname is 'sissy boy', 'yuri girl', 'PUSSY', 'insensitive/dense bastard', 'effeminate boy'

The anime has me angry. Natsuru became only a piece of meat to echii scenes, with no personality or ability in combat. He is pictured with an idiot in the anime than the manga it shows more personality.

@Zeker: Be guided by the manga and novel. Do not take seriously the anime. Natsuru is not well portrayed.

Natsuro not insensitive, he only has eyes for Sakura ignoring his harem.

If you evaluate how Natsuru see the girls, looks like this:

AKANE: friend
SHIZUKU: Nosy demon
MIKOTO: Special friend
SAKURA: Muse
NATSURU(woman form): Nuisance to be overcome

Since his Muse, Sakura manages to make him forget the discomfort of his way kämpfer. But he is not satisfied with that.

About him having female attitudes when it becomes a woman, wrong. The anime did it, it does not show that kind of attitude in the manga and novel.

Women really are in love because he has had more opportunities to show their hand man in the feminine form. All the fights that impressed Sakura were performed in female form(Female + male attitude = great chance of yuri), he had no chance to do it in the masculine form. Another reason for him not like the female form. Now add it to Shizuku's strategy to make it use more than their female form. Shizuku has shown that she wants the male version of it only for her, no woman can have it, only her.

All that was mentioned is only explored in the manga because in the anime, Natsuru shows no male attitude.

Actually the worst offence is the REASON and subplot behind it regarding why Natsuru was forced into the Girl's side.

Making him more female works better for the audience target. I think this is one of the adaptations that deviates the most from its source material this season.

I don't know if this is accurate information or not, but based on wikipedia:

"Tamiko Shinomiya (篠宮 多美子, Shinomiya Tamiko?)
Zauber-type Red Kämpfer whom Shizuku adored. She was shot dead in Shizuku's presence by a Blue Kämpfer whom she defeated and let go off."

I think it's pretty obvious why she would get interested in Natsuru. This "Tamiko" girl sounds very similar to Natsuru.

I think Natsuru already realise that Shizuku is really devious even though he isnt aware of the full extent of her intelligence.She is like Caster,really smart and devious with a great foothold in the war.

Though i think Natsuru does not want this kind of girlfriend that could be this scheming.


Akane's advice isnt wrong really, they cant really rely on her that much.She can feel like she would backstab them anytime.
Natsuru and Akane should try find more Blue Kampfer allies.

Read the other posts and heres what i got... what happens here in the novel (where can i read them?) and in the manga and anime is this:

Natsuru has still the difficulty in controlling his transformation

Fire is one of nature's most powerful natural element and it is highly true that Natsuru truly is a CROUCHING MORON HIDDEN BADASS

the Gewehr kampfers are only limited to sidearms and SMG's (or so i see)... no kampfer was noted to carry heavy guns such as assault rifles and shotguns... though i'd like to see one carry an M134 or bazooka for maximum damage....

the Zauber kampfers elemental magic were known only fire (natsuru) and a white kampfer (lightning, forgot the name)... Water elemental and even wind elementals are not yet noted

most the Schwert kampfers like our lovely Shizuku and the active Mikoto carry what seems to be 'light blades' (judging from my albeit rusty weapon otaku knowledge) since a katana was classed as a light to medium sword... i wish i could see a girl carrying a claymore, zweihander, nodachi or maybe a naginata for this....

Does anyone agree in this?:

Heavy "swords" (flamberg, claymore, naginata, hussar sabre etc.) wasn't a smart choice for duel weapons. Those weapons were used or as a weapons of heavy (and suidical) infantry against cavalry, or as a heavy cavalry weapon. For duels light "swords" are much more suited, such as saber, rapier, backsword or katana.

Still there are some who prefer long blades you know...

i dont think that we will se a Kampfer with a katana though but i would have to say that if a Kampfer was going to have a sword they would make it a european type sword like a rapier or even a broadsword if they wanted to.
