Nah the body switch will be at the end of episode 33.

More about 30 but definitely enjoying the pace of the episodes. I mean Vegeta and Recoome were done in about 5 minutes. Even though Vegeta didn't win have to give him credit. He went all out right from the start and didn't hold anything back. Sadly it wasn't enough to overcome Recoome, but still did a pretty good job. Tough for Krillin, the one shot and down thing really becomes a trend for him.

Episode 31 was perfect. There's no two ways about it, it was just perfect. The pacing for Kai really is a Dragonball Z's fan come true, especially when you look at how much this episode covered, compared to the original series. This is the way it should be.

Highlights have to be the new piece of music that was played when Goku first appeared, and seeing the new effects when Goku was showing off. Of course, Goku punching Jeice in the face will always be brilliant.

Also i always loved Vegeta's monologue regarding Goku being one of the legendary super Saiyajin, so it was great to hear that again.

Next weeks episode will feature Goku powering up in front of Ginyu and Jiece, one of my all time favorite scenes from the show. Can't wait to hear what BGM they'll use for it. oh, and Ginyu's "I'm gonna have to come up with a new fighting pose!" line in the preview was priceless.

No doubt this one was just perfect. It moved nicely and I felt bad when the episode was over . Really handled everything well with Goku blazing onto the scene and taking care of two of the Ginyu by the end of the episode. Even then you figure he could have finished this even faster if he had just attacked them .

Just crazy to think about how much stronger Goku got from the fight against Vegeta to now. That was some insane training he went under before getting to Namek. That was a pretty fun punch to the face. He had a point since they talk and leave themselves open so much. Nice that Goku is strong enough to really make them pay for it. Sadly for Vegeta and company they had to endure it without being able to really do much.

Ain't there supposed to be a character song album out a few days ago?

I don't see any sniff of it.

Notice that I said "perhaps", meaning maybe. Technically, the Goku vs. Ginyu fight ends when Goku starts powering up with his Kaioken (to have next week's episode at least encompass this sounds about right). After that, it's just them talking until Ginyu decides to do the body switch.

Would be better to have the body switch at the end of the episode, because it works well as a cliffhanger, though it's hard to see even this show having that much material in one episode. Hmm, if they have Goku's powering up scene at the start of the second half of the episode, then i think there's a change we'll see it in episode 32.

The pacing of 31 is very good and you got to hand it to Goku hiding his real power. Only Ginyu was able to figure out what his real level is, but Goku's Kaioken was able to surprise Ginyu and it shows from 100x gravity training.

Guys, stop trying to figure out at which point the next episode ends.
The best cliffhangers I ever had was with Escaflowne, were every episode was not ending in a predictably fitting cliffhanger point. So, let it rest. It is better not knowing.

There's also Frieza reaching the guru which involves two fights. I can see them ending episode 33 with the switch, I hope I'm wrong though.

Eh, end of episode 33? No way, it'll come before that.

Well I'll just watch and not try to figure out where they will finish episodes off .

Anyways I just wonder about Goku. Was he that calm about the situation upon his arrival simply because he had the senzu beans? I mean regardless you'd think he'd be a bit more distressed at finding his son nearly dead with a broken neck.

Goku's not the type of person who'd pointlessly worry like that. He knew he could save Gohan with the senzu bean, so that's the end of that.

My love letter to DB Kai.

I haven't seen 31 yet (I'm following the slower group), but I can't wait to watch Goku slap those bastards silly.

I must say, that is one funny blog post I enjoyed reading that considering I feel the same way about the series.

On another note, does the slower sub group offer more accurate subs? (I'm guessing this is the case since I can't find any other reason someone would wait for slower subs.)

Thanks, glad someone actually read it.

Even though DB Kai might not be flying as low under the radar as, say, Cross Game, I get the feeling it's being dismissed by many simply because it's a "DBZ remake". I might have to do a one-man-marketing-machine thing on AS like you guys are doing for CG.

To be fair, I haven't compared the two groups since the very first few episodes, but SD and Taka felt like a vastly better choice back then, so I've been sticking with them since. They haven't let me down yet. The only issue is that constantly being 1 to 2 episodes behind is driving me up and down the wall.

I see love letter and I thought to myself "I gotta read this"

I really do have to agree though, DBZ is being dismissed and although I'm biased with my nostalgic feelings just as you are, ignoring that fact, I still say that DBK is doing an amazing job at the pacing and it's really wonderful reliving all these classic moments.

I'm not sure how you can hold out, I know I wouldn't be able to. Although to Freeze-subs credit, they've actually improved slightly from their earlier works. I rely on them for my quick subs and they seem decent enough to watch.

Oh, I was actually talking about Suppiido...never heard of Freeze before. I might give them a shot if SD Taka goes on another one of their dry spells. Thanks.
