The show is behind AIC Classics's hands that where also responsible for animating a underrated manga-based anime : Hourou Musuko. Ebiten's anime character designs reminded somewhat of A Bridge to the Starry Skies, but it remains very faithful to the manga designs.

So I guess we do have a trap on our hands? Part of me says yes but the other is still extremely disappointed that he's not a regular guy. Maybe someday there'll be an anime about one dealing with the fujoshi side of fandom.

Based on the pic, I think he is a regular guy and the club members force him to become a trap.

He's obviously designed with the trap angle 100% in mind (effeminate shota, voice actress and the fact he's already in drag in the key visual). By regular I meant the opposite of the traits mentioned.

Hideyoshi gender is one of a kind even among traps. From the promo picture, I don't think Itsuki will turn into anything close to Hideyoshi. If anything, he reminds me more of Hayate from Hayate no Gotoku minus super strength.

Well the fact that they outright used the opening song in Seitokai no Ichizon for the trailer pretty much is forcing me to check this out

. At least have to see the first couple episodes to see how this all turns out.
