Remember Me Function Not Working

I deleted my cookies yesterday including the folder for forums.animesuki.com from my Opera browser and for some reason the remember me function is no longer working, even though I can see its adding cookies to my computer when I log in. I've tested doing the same things with other forums and it hasn't affected my ability to use the Remember me function to log me in after I've closed my browser window. Do any of the Admins have any idea what might be causing this issue.

I had occasional problems with the remember me function too (like 2 or 3 times since the forums changed the load balancing technique).
But once I re-login it works fine.

Tried it. I haven't rebooted recently, maybe that might do it. I can't right now but I'll give that a try in a few days and see what happens.

I do that every week including last night and it still didn't help. My browser also claims to not be accepting cookies from Ebay. I'm probably going to end up reinstalling Opera in the morning.

In Tools->Preferences->Cookes, Did you click the "Delete new cookes when exiting Opera?" box? Obviously this would cause the problem you describe while still temporarily adding a cookie.

If that isn't the problem, then please check this: If you right-click on this page you can choose "Edit Site Preferences..." from the right-click menu. This will open up an interesting preferences dialogue you might (or might not) be aware of. On the "cookies" tab does it say you accept cookies from AnimeSuki? And what about the box where it asks you "Delete new cookes when exiting Opera?"

What folder are you talking about?

Everythings set to what you say it should be and I can even see the cookie for my BB password and all the appropriate ones. Let me restart my computer now and see what happens.

Nope no good. It only does it with Opera so I guess I'll reinstall it. Ok that did it. It shouldn't take to long to recreate my old bookmarks as I go along as well as my wand passwords.

Cause it doesn't really bother me. Things were getting cluttered so its probably good I got rid of anything I don't need in one fell swoop. I'll just build a list again as it goes.

Anyway this thread can be disposed of since the problems solved.
