This week has been awfully long for me, hope the loops will end with this coming episode.......

Otherwise scene of Haruhi make out with Yuki is fine too (j/k)

I really liked this episode, the part with the frogs was awesome, and there was even an evangelion(i think) reference.I laughed really hard at Koisumis choice in swimwear, and as always,Kyons reaction to the ghostly sound Mikuru makes on the phone XD
But I really hope the endless eight arc will be done with soon,I'm getting quite bored watching the same thing over and over..

Yes, completely true. Every second of every episode so far has been going towards this very important goal. All of it. And we'll need exactly however many episodes they choose to have to get this point across. No more and no less. Why? Cause it's BRILLIANT!

I wonder if they will have a season 3. I mean there is no way they can fit all the stuff they left out of season 1 into this, and then get onto the vanishment with in only.... what? 6 more episodes? (that is if they really do make 8 of the endless 8).

To early for a Season 3. We still waiting for Season 2!

Seriosly, you should read the entire tread/other treads. This was already discussed many times.

I think all these loops is very ballsy... risky and very smart. The concept and intention are quite high and it's not as if KyoAni is simply reusing every frame over and over again either. This arc dares to make the viewer experience every repetition and moment of déjà vu that Kyon and co. (mainly, Yuki) are reliving again and again.

However, not everybody is going to appreciate this move. Moreover, in terms of risk and returns the only way this arc could be properly justified in the eyes of many is if the pay off is satisfying in the end—in other words, if it can make up for everything.

I'm really interested in knowing what the answer to the mystery is, but for some reason I have a feeling that it won't be able to match the anticipation and expectations that this arc has built up so far.

Also remember that there isn't a Haruhi book titled "Despair" yet. It might be the 11th or 12th book, and I imagine Kyon personifying the author's desires by trying to hang himself on some random cherry blossom tree, but failing because Haruhi believes that nothing like that could happen to her brigade member in real life.

Anyone also notice that she never said "Kyon-kun, denwa" in the first episode of Endless Eight? (I'm being WAY too observant now. )

Yeah, the lack of a "Kyon-kun, denwa!" hurts the first one a lot... but the one where she gives the line twice makes up for it.

Yeah I noticed the first cycle too, but only because it's unusual to not give a VA a line when their character is present.

Weirdly amusing but, well, that's just one single line out of what seemed a short interview. Does anybody here know enough japanese to translate the full KyoAni answer and would be kind enough to do so ? ^^
