I can say this episode was rather funny. The endings tend to remain the funniest parts this season.

Things seems to have changed a little as "time" goes on. Chiaki is getting happier and smiling more often...laughing even.

Hosaka is funny as usual. It's like fate doesn't want Hosaka and Haruka to speak to each other.

Sometimes running gags become less funny if the subject actually reaches his goal...unless it resets to the running gag after a brief time (See "Coyote and Roadrunner" for running gag)

Becoming less funny just marks that it's ending. Every show must end. w/ a good one at that. We've had subtle moment when it comes to romance (though aside from the slice-of-life/ over implied/ comedy, romance is second when it comes to Minami-ke.) We want a clear and acceptable end for everyone.

They to so extent brought back the dog/pack analogy from earlier this season. Though they only really left it in place for Natsuki and Chiaki..though I suppose ignoring Kana could be a pack trait, as could trying to be on friendly terms with the pack leader...Haruka. Because I still get the impression that Haruka (and Hosaka) are the only people Natsuki will yield to. Hosaka because he's Hosaka. Haruka because she is the Legendary Banchou and should be feared.

I don't know that he didn't remember or he change his goal.
And I'm not sure that he still think Haruka is a mother with 2 children since his fantasy had only himself and Haruka. May be the animator didn't want to draw much...

The first half was definitely the best. I love the situations where the seniors and juniors get together, hillarious moments abound!
