Potential for what, overthrowing the Spirit King? Or defeating Yhwach? Either way I guess Kenpachi is coming out as kind of a dark horse here.

Problem is we have yet to be told who they deemed the remaining 2 are.

2. I think it's rather safe to assume Ishida is one, so that leaves one more.

this smacks of typical bad kubo writing. basically he just made a character who was missing an arm and thought to himself: "i can make up anything i want to explain this years from now and people will think i'm genius and planned it all along!" it's the type of 'mystery' that can literally become part of any future story arc and seemingly make sense as if it was planned from the start

i'm not saying you think he's a genius. i'm saying he thinks we think he is

I get the impression that not all of this stuff is sleight-of-ass on Kubo's part. I think Bleach ended up going longer than he planned, and most of the middle stuff wasn't originally planned, but a lot of what we're seeing now was. Part of the problem is that since so much of the middle was pulled right out of his kiester, that's kind of what we expect, and we forget how well the first arc held together. Plus a lot of stuff doesn't mesh with what we're seeing now. Someone ought to go back and read the SS Arc, then pick up at the beginning of this one, and see if it meshes a bit better. See if we can figure out where the BS begins and ends.

Besides. Even if you're right, better for the author to build in a hook and come up with something to use on it later, than for him to pull everything, hook included, out of his ass at the end.

i think urahara kisuke is a war potential, considering he is genius and has yet to shown his bankai abilities

it about time Kubo shows everyone's bankai even if some are stolen

Yes but once he shows Urahara's bankai it will:

1: most likely be disappointing

2: be spammed constantly in every other fight from that point on

3: many fans will become enraged

I think this about covers it.

i think you are quite disappointed with soifon's bankai perhaps, but hopefully it doesn't happen to kisuke

soifon's bankai is downright awful. there's nothing remotely spiritual about a guided missile with a sight. kisuke's might as well be a tank or a submarine if kubo keeps going down that road. i don't think he will, but jeez... and yoruichi's better not be a fighter jet

You forgot,

4. Nobody will know what its supposed to do, perhaps not even Kubo. I'm looking at you Unohana.

I can understand the skepticism. But I think Kubo's earned (through Yamamoto's bankai) the benefit of a doubt.

It comes back next week officially (9/9; I see what you did there Kubo), but we always get the chapters about week in advance on the interweb. The new chapter will be out on Wednesday.
