Sometimes I am shameless seiyuu fangirl. But I am also glad it seems people are excited about this because of the manga.

Staff:
Director: Suganuma Eiji Series Composition: Machida Touko Character Design: Kawamura Toshie Animation Production: Manglobe Lol, Manglobe. Still showing up where no one's expecting you. Hard to get an indication of how this'll go - this is basically the team that handled Mashiroiro Symphony, and the two works could hardly have less in common... Well, I suppose a good deal of Karneval are the looks anyway, and the preview should be just a few days away. I really hope they nail the color palette down.

Yeah of all the expected studios Manglobe didn't even cross my mind.
Well of all their works, House of Five Leaves was my favorite but that didn't sell. Hopefully this will do well for them. In general I am confident with this studio and they already have a great cast. The other question is how will they handle an unfinished manga. I hope they leave it open for more & don't create their own ending.

They did well enough with "The World God Only Knows" but the director is more Key than the studio. Kodomo no Jikan and "Mashiro-Iro Symphony" are the only series where he is listed as director, are they any good? |

I like Manglobe. They take chances and often place art over commerce, which not surprisingly often hurts them financially. Mashifony is one of the most under appreciated shows of the last few years, IMO.

The staff I reposted from 2ch earlier is confirmed. The drama CD cast is also not only being kept for the main three - we're still getting Endou Aya (Tsukumo), Ono Daisuke (Hirato), Nakamura Yuuichi (Jiki), Yusa Kouji (Tsukitachi) and Hirakawa Daisuke (Akari). The character page gives us a pretty good idea of the look - I honestly think most do look pretty well adapted. All that's left is waiting for the PV bundled with the latest manga volume to surface... But mehhhh, Tsukitachi looks kinda bad. WHY HIM. :|

I'm liking the character designs. Hoping the story is just as good. Nai looks like someone who might annoy me though. |

The character designs are very appealing, they really capture the art of the manga that I saw.
I was worried because I wasn't too fond of the first chapter but then I listened to a bit of the drama CD and I already really like Gareki & Yogi. They seem like fun characters (okay and their voices don't hurt at all )

I don't usually read mangas often, usually only to supplement the anime or drama. This is the first time a manga i like is getting animated, so I'm really excited to see it. The cast list seems great too.
Spring 2013 is going to be good for me, with this and the 2nd season of Chiyafuru alone. |
