Well guys if you think of it this way
We all knew kotori return was inevitable but without her cliche return with honoka we won't be even be able to hope for a second season. Heres a list of reason why i thought i was going to turn out like this before i watched the episode. 1. It would just be weird to have new member after all that drama they have gone through. 2. I listened to all the mini drama's they had every single. They feel much closer in the drama and possibly future events (if have a decent understanding of japanese i cannot emphasize how funny and enjoyable they were to listen too.) 3. With love live selling (the CDs/ DVD/Blu ray) like hot cakes and i can't imagine lantis(the other companies that collarborated) which names i forgot) throwing the whole school idol project off shelf after spending a near 3 years to get love live to where it is. The anime is ment to be a risky way of promoting the school idol project love live further Well as for the last episode, i was giving my full 100% to watch this episode. I really liked how the epsiode builded up bit by bit that pushes honoka forward. Nico explaing the true reason why she likes idols and how they corresponded to what honoka truly wanted to do. The episode pulling pieces from previous episode like the part when umi says how honoka always able to take kotori and umi to place that they can never go on their own, first thing that popped to my head is when they were little climbing that big tree. They only thing that appeared weird and very very cliche was how they bought kotori back. . . it was just soo cliche that im like uhh. . .that luckily they ended with the start:dash with all members which made up for that. With me being a fan of love live awhile before it makes me happy how unexpectedly well the anime is. i had bad thought though of another school based anime but i am extremely surpised with the event of how the anime played out and stood out to all the recent animes i have watched in the past few years. memorable for me |

They could easily perform with 8 members for time being and then have Kotori come back saying that school was not for her after all.
Kotori would be back and everything would be as usual. Until then we could see how Muse is dealing with a lack of member. A pretty nice start for season 2. You guys make it sound like if Kotori left, that would be the end for her.

In fairness to Kotori, the timing of this overseas opportunity couldn't have been worse for her.
Episode 9 ends with Honoka verbally expressing love for Kotori and Umi, and saying that she wants to be with Kotori and Umi forever. Kotori and Umi make it clear that the feeling is mutual. For Kotori to go back on that so soon after the agreement to stay together was made, has to be very painful and difficult. Yuri goggles or not, platonic or not, Kotori clearly has very strong feelings for Honoka. If not for Honoka, I think that Kotori gets on that plane. So it's not so much that Kotori is indecisive, it's that Honoka has tremendous influence on Kotori due to the very strong feelings between the two (and the strong admiration that I think Kotori feels for Honoka). Honoka in general is a person with a real knack for influencing others, and getting through the toughest of shells. We see this with almost every other member of Muse, particularly Eri and Maki. Honoka is the sort of person that makes people dream the impossible dream. It can be very tough to turn down such a person.

While it's highly likely there'll be s2, we still don't have a confirmation about it yet. So although this ending episode ended abruptly, at least if there's no 2nd season, we all know that Muse is still alive and kicking. If Kotori really leaves, then the question about whether she'll return will still linger (although we all know what's most likely going to happen). So, if at least at the end of the episode there's an announcement of the 2nd season, I also prefer the route that you suggested. Well, you got my point

Can someone please make a yuri spinoff to love live! already?
I would watch the heck out of that especially kotori x honoka and umi x eri also i don't know if this had been pointed out already but does anyone think kotori look like an alpaca? In the show, kotori has an affinity for alpacas. |

Finally finished watching it. And deeply disappointed.
The reasons are simple. The story moved with a pace suited for more than 13 episodes then it's like the writers remembered they had to wrap it up and created a sort of drama (despite the "foreshadowing") that felt completely out of place given the generally light atmosphere, not to mention with a complete ridicolous resolution (or at least that felt like one). In the end, it almost ruins what good the series has built for the past episodes, for character interactions and the likes. Also, the use of CG for the vocal parts was...not good. Sunrise isn't Satelight and unless they can go the AKB0048 for dance CG they should just avoid it. Horrible models and lack of frames are the biggest problems. |

You're right.
Sunrise is better. By the way, the cg models that transition to animation have been around for LL since the very beginning. It's part of the art style.

It's too late to comment for episode 13 but I'm glad everything worked out between Honoka and Kotori and the gang.... All that Honoka needs was inspiration coming from her friends and family....
So Kotori did remain if I'm not mistaking. Special notes: > Love Live! seen their live concert >Kotori and Maki's mon knew each other. > My father-in_law is present!!!! Friendship rules!!!! 9/10 |

Of course! Toei came first except for Disney, but that's a different style of animation all together.
Toei: Home of Mazinger and One Piece. My kind of place. On topic, I need Season 2 shot in my veins right now. Dat Love Live Nanomachines.

Useful info about the vote. Thanks, playmaker2k
Considering the timeline, the anime should be still around summer. That means the 3rd years still have about half a year before graduation.
