Ehm...author could go either way.

To let Furuichi dead or to let Furuichi dead for some longer time until some magic revives him.

But he is not recovering from that in just a few chapters i tell ya.

That's quite something to get yourself pierced your heart out xD.

Oga most likely will get Furuichi out there since Furuichi cannot escape like the other times. Wonder how Oga is going to explain this to Furuichi's family or his family, Furuichi got to be safe somewhere while Oga tries to get his heart back. I doubt he will be gone forever in this manga.
