I know this thread is old and buried, but I was wondering, has anyone ever thought about doing a Mushishi RPG? pen and paper type? Computer game might be fun in a Myst-style, or perhaps just a exploration and collection game though...

Those all would be quite an interesting way to make a Mushishi game. As for me the Myst style game sound sthe best, but maybe I'm just saying that since I'm such a huge Myst fan.

Seriously though the style and atmosphere of Myst I believe would compliment the style of Mushishi very well as they both have the same kind of slow burn, atmospheric feel to them.

I just finished rewatching Mushishi.

My opinion, that this is one of the best animes, i have ever seen, doesnt change. The story is unique, the look is perfect, and the soundtrack is pure awsome. When listening to the soundtracks, i always get a chill. Each individual story is very fabulous. For me, its realy sad, that
Spoiler for ending(episode 26):

I actually havent started to read the manga, but i will certainly do so.

I agree with everything said there. Also, Ginko is one of the best characters ever created.
This was the only anime that I knew would be in my top 10 while I was still watching it. It is practically flawless. Still waiting for a season 2, the manga has been completed for a while now...

I'm as well holding out hope for a season 2. Even if we do get one though, I doubt it'll be anytime soon.

Maybe this is a little late, but I was wondering, Why is Mushi-shi manga vol. 6 (I think it's 6) so hard to find? Any particular reason?

There wasn't a very large print of the series to begin with.

Late volumes are not yet out of print, early volumes are already reprinted / restocked ?

That's what my librarian answered me when I asked why they had the beginning and the latest volumes of Vagabond, but not the dozen of volumes or so between them.

Ahh I gotcha! Does that mean they'll eventually reprint it and they'll be more available?

Don't forget that Del Ray are not longer in business, so Mushishi volumes won't be printed again. That's why i originally said there wasn't a large print.

Hey hey, if anyone reads this I have a question about the manga.

Spoiler for Tender Horns and Trodden Grass:

I'm wondering if this series references itself like that. Does anyone have any ideas? If it does, please don't give specific examples. I want to connect the world as much as possible.

Can someone please explain what I was supposed to infer?

I love this series.

I just watched episode 11 and I hope someone will take pity on my obtuseness and explain the big reveal of the episode.

So in the course of the episode they give us a few clues:

Spoiler:

And the crucial "reveal" of the episode shows:
Spoiler:

So I can't quite figure out what happened, but I theorize:
Spoiler:

I have no idea what the writer expects me to infer from these limited clues. If anyone can clue me in, please help!
