Series has been going towards a harem ending since volume 2 once it was clear there was more then 1 spirit as it is something of a requirement to keep them sealed. Just like it was clear inn TLR at around chapter 6 with the 3 leads all finish a test of courage ttogether that says those that complete it ends up as couples together . Or anything by the creator of Tenchi ( see the original Tenchi, GXP, Dual, Photon, Agura Rutter, ect). Or DxD.

I guess i'm very biased about harem ending. I mean a guy loves many girls at the same time, it just doesn't feel...right.

Eeeh, there are plenty of endings that would get around the sealing issue, one of the most obvious being where the origins of all spirits is sealed away/cut off from our world, making the girls normal humans.

I'd personally prefer a get-together ending. And of course I'd prefer Kurumi above all the others, but if Shidou actually chooses a girl, there is little chance it'll be anybody other than Tohka. Even the author has said he tries to get them as much time together as possible.

I at least hope Compile Heart keeps making DAL games until they make a final one with true get-together endings for each girl. Or at the very least do this in a third game.

On the one hand, I can see what you mean and I agree. On the other hand, it's hard not to love so many attractive girls.

I'll find it difficult to choose too if I was blessed with such an option.

Anyway, I guess to make a harem ending seem less guilty, why not try to look at it this way: All the girls love Shidou and it would be bad having to break many girls' heart by with a single-girl ending. For the sake of the spirits, a harem-ending is the only choice.

Though seriously, of the spirits, who would not mind a harem ending and who would just want Shidou to herself?

As much as people don't like harem endings, I don't remember any show with an actual harem ending. It's always open-ended or the MC doesn't choose.

Prove to me there are actual harem endings in the last 2 years.

Hmmm 2 Years that does make it difficult.

Tenchi Muyo GXP was probably the biggest but is old.
And of course the infamous SD, but in that one the MC wanted it all and it imploded.
Mushouko Tenshi(sp) has an active harem going on at this time (And still going strong)

i'm not sure this past 2 year or not but this LN "Otoko wo Misete yo Kurata-kun"

That only has two people (from the 6 chapters I've seen) that isn't really a harem.

Interesting! This could be a method to turn Mana into a spirit and give her more appearance without something immoral like make her a actual harem member.
But if this happens, Shidou still have to kiss her once for the sealing

2 years is way too limiting as there haven't been that many harem series that have actually ended in the last 2 years. But your fooling yourself if you don't believe DxD, Sword Dance, Campione, Mega Tsuki or Strike the blood (confirmed to have daughters with at least 2 of the Harem members) will not end in a harem. Then there is Re Monster and Mushoku Tenseiwhich their MCs literally have a harem.

oh and the manga of Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei ends in a harem, kinda, it is complex.

Also, the trains are driven by monkeys. On LSD.
