So it's ending, eh? Don't think I'll be able to bring myself to finish the chapters I missed. In the end the series was just too much drama, too little fun. And after the whole "Rape Me" drama, it just took a nosedive, imo, and the characters proceeded to make the dumbest choices for the next 100 chapters. It started out as a fun series, but the overall angst of the series took the joy out of each chapter, even if there was a light-hearted one thrown in. It would always be overshadowed by the inevitable melodrama that was going to ruin it all.

Ah, well.. I guess not all manga can be like "Yesterday wo Utatte" where the characters development determines the plot instead of the plot determining character development.

Same as above me. Series not worth finishing. But well maybe her next work will be more decent enough, or it will be another first 25% of manga good and then its just *WTF train*.

Yesterday wo Utatte is a lovely series, but its dragging at the moment with the girlfriend back in high-school and her childhood friend, who is a sis-com/stalker.

I wouldn't mind if the sis-com guy gets with the heroine (the highschool dropout). :3

While YwU is dragging a bit, I enjoy it because of the way the drama is developed. The characters are the focus and their development brings the drama in a more realistic fashion. Manga like GR and KNIm rely on plot-driven drama as opposed to character-drive and I've always felt that it hinders character growth.

Well, at least Utsumi managed to pop his cherry before the series' end. Usually it would hurt a protagonist's street cred to end the series as a virgin.

Well on the positive side nexk SK manga is bound to be better. GE sucked too much, unless her new manga will not even have those 25% when manga was still worth anything and go sucking 100% right off the bat.

so is it general opinion even in japan that GE wasn't that good?

If people don't want to read it anymore and it is not selling good, it gets axed. And this seems to be the case with GE. I guess the last 40 chapters really downgraded the manga and people just dropped it.

Meh, this is what happens if the mangaka dragging his work for too long and abusing the same dead story repeatedly until the readers gotten sick with it.

This manga should just end already. It's title is "Good Ending" after all.

Johnny Working the bags... Join Date: Mar 2009	Spoiler for ch 154: Thanks to PROzess I'll clean up the mistakes. Looks like every character is going to get their good ending. Yes, that includes Shou and Kento together... The other part Utsumi runs off from the security staff and ends up in the hut Yuki knows about. He texts her and tells her where he's at. She comes and they spoon for awhile until she leaves and tells him to go home because her dad might give him cement shows if he persists. The maid/nanny shows up later for her turn at spooning with Utsumi, uh er she just shows up and the chapter ends... Last edited by Johnny; 2012-12-09 at 12:05.
