Hmm.. perhaps time will tell. First episode was not too bad, but now that I think about the concept, yes, I suppose it would seem like Hakuoki once they recruit more heroes. No doubt they all are men..

.. At least the girl isn't completely useless and annoying like in Haku. Well, maybe useless to certain extent but at least she holds (or the tiara does) some kind of power.

Hmm, the first episode seemed pretty good.

I like the idea that 10 people are going to join together, but for what exactly? It seems that four are already together, unless the one organising it doesn't count...then it would be three. Isanami, Saizo and Sasuke.

Saizo seems to be some legendary warrior gone rogue who is well known amongst the people. He has some skilful techniques and moves, but doesn't want to get involved in anything that doesn't benefit him. Sasuke is a skilled commander who is stubborn towards Saizo but gentleman like towards Isanami. And Isanami...well...she's a pretty but needy. She has an item that can kill things around her and from what I have seen, she apparently gets turned to stone the more she uses it?

Either way, the only character I really like is Saizo, he's the kind of character I like that doesn't get pushed around. Although...he is lucky for being able to sleep in the same bed as Isanami, I don't see why he made a big deal out of it, she is pretty cute at times

I liked the action, I will expect more to come in future episodes.

Brave10 proved to be much better than I initially thought it would be; the cover and the synopsis really didn't appeal all that much to me. Surprisingly enough, I ended up loving the first episode.

Saizo is badass. I didn't expect him to basically turn his back on Isanami when she was being pursued. That scene made me laugh quite a bit. But even so, he managed to take down those ninjas on an empty stomach. I’m really hoping something develops between Saizo and Isanami, as I’d rather not see this turn into some reverse harem. They also seem like they could be a good albeit a little dysfunctional couple. Really looking forward to the next episode ~

The OP was pretty good; animation was awesome, and the music was even better. It was really confusing to watch it for the first time, as it was hard to tell who the main character was.

But man, did I love the art or what. It's been a while since I've taken such a liking towards the art in an anime. The fight scenes were pretty well animated, too.

I decided to go read the first 20 chapters of the manga, and well, I just can't help but wonder if 20 chapters are enough material for 12 episodes. I guess they might be, but I don't know really. There's a lot of ecchi, and a bit of nudity in the manga. I wonder if those scenes will be cut from the anime adaptation.

I don't know if it’s just me, but Isanami and Saizo are made out to like each other quite a bit. One of the 10 ‘Braves’ even asks Saizo if she's his wife at one stage. Romance, please. :>

Was better then what i was expecting. Isanami is great. Hope we find out a little more about Saizou. Lol Yukimura using them as bait.

I wasn't too sure about this anime either, but I was pleasantly surprised. It had a good amount of action and I enjoyed the animation. I'm a little disappointed there's only 12 episodes though. I'll watch it for the rest of the season to see how everything progresses.

well, I liked a lot this first episode. Quite good actions, even if I'm not that fond of calling each technique out.
Liked the characters too, they are not the usual stoic samurai/ninja, but they look a bit more balanced. Even Isanami, that is great btw.
Anyways historical setting looks more like basilisk, even the ten warriors thing, iirc.
Sure I hope it will not be anything like Hakuoki.

I watched the first episode and I really enjoyed watching it.

Spoiler for comments about the 1st ep:

- The OP is so cool! Daisuke Ono and Tetsuya Kakihara's voices are wonderful~

- It is only the first episode but I’ve already fallen for Saizou . Another character that caught my eye is Sanada…he is an interesting character and I’m very sure there is more stuff than meets the eye about him.

- Isanami…I like her, she is cute. And she is also an interesting character, I’m especially curious about that peculiar and powerful power she has…I know it has to do with that green jewel in her head band…but I also think it has to do with her as well…maybe she is a very special maiden?

- I know it is still very early in the series…but I do like the Isanami x Saizou pairing, they are cute together and their interactions are funny , like when Saizou caught her sleeping in his futon.

- I’m looking forward to the next episode and I’m especially looking forward to Anastacia’s introduction into the series.

Some interesting things about the ep:

- I’m really curious about the reason why Saizou doesn’t trust lords; I wonder what bad experience he had with a lord that made him distrust lords so much.

- Isanami has a big appetite and loves food.

- It seems the Head Priest knew about Isanami’s power and how to use it.

- Saizou is a very skilled swordsman but his sword is no ordinary sword…it seems kind of magical.

- It seems the green jewel is linked to Isanami’s feelings/emotions and it seems that when the jewel’s activated Isanami’s skin turns into stone and she goes into a trance.

- Sasuke seems to have developed a crush on Isanami.

- Isanami doesn’t like to sleep alone.

Very good start to what is currently the only new anime I've started watching this season(for some reason I've lost all drive to watch any new anime expect this, altho will probably get round to watching a few more later on)

I was exicted for this way before and thankfully I wasn't let down, infact it went beyond what i was expecting, which is def a good thing for me.

So far so good, if they can keep this up, in for a very good series me thinks.
And odd as this may be coming from someone like me, this could very well prove to be better than say something like Samurai Girls and I loved that series(loved it but it was in essence drivel for the most part)

As it stands anime of the season for me....but then it's the only new anime I've watched so far

the action is not that fun to watch either, a lot of posing and not enough dynamic camera angles. Horizon and f/z spoiled me too much last season.

Episode 1 wasn't bad... not bad at all. My eyes grew wide when I heard Saizo speak. Didn't expect Daisuke Ono would be his voice actor. The action wasn't horrible and the animation was fluid. At least it's better than what I've seen from other shows that I've watched lately. To sum it all up, I really enjoyed the first episode. =D

Enjoyed epi 1 and also didnt expect OnoD to be Saizou. Made me look at the rest of the seiyuu cast and oh man Im gonnna enjoy hearing these guys talk Hoping epi 2 is a good as 1.

Yup, I also find the 1st ep a whole lot more enjoyable than what I first expecting it to be^^ At least it's nothing like hakuoki at all, thank God. I also like the chemistry between Saizo&Isanami so far, hopefully she's not going to turn for the worse as just a damsell in distress mary-sue in the future. Plus none of the charas annoyed me yet, looking forward for the next eps^_^ Well, at least I found another fun show to add on my anime list this season, while waiting for spring to come for more F/Z, E7 AO & Accel World.

I also enjoyed this episode more than I thought though the number of episodes is worrisome especially when you take in account that we still have to be introduced to like 7 new characters (heroes).

So true. I also checked the cast and it made me watch the 1st ep, even though it's not quite my kind of thing. But I think I will give it a go and continue watching. Or maybe rather listening.
