It doesn't Have to fit in with the series, maybe there is no timeline for it, there weren't with the DBZ movies, damn me for being unable to forget but if timelines must exist, Goku and co must have requested Cell pauses the Cell games so they can go fight Brolli/Brolly, timelines aren't mandatory, just wait for it to come out, watch, and enjoy.

It's best to look at the movie as independent to the timeline/story of the manga/anime... lots of things won't make sense... this movie like many others before it serves to just give the fans something new and different to watch on the big screen... also... it's a huge opportunity to make lots of revenue through merchandise and ticket sales...

the movie takes place beyond the current timeline, after the whole Oro wants Sasuke thing, which would most likely mean Sasuke returns to the Leaf and never gets to Oro.

This is probably not the case, but it might end up happening this way.

This movie looks to be a stand-alone adventure that will feature no or little relevance to the main Naruto plotline in the manga or anime.

Uh...the whole series is made to make money. They don't create Naruto out of the kindness of their hearts.

I heard Naruto was made for reasons of charity because viewers didn't have enough anime to watch already. Indeed it was done to encourage world peace.

On another note, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I don't think it's out of line to expect this to be independent of the timeline in the series. It seems very much like giving Naruto fans an extra long Naruto episode on the big screen, but with slightly better animation. It'll satsify the hardcore fans who won't care whether or not it sits with the timeline because for them it's probably a case of "we need more Naruto".

Actually if I remember correctly it does tie in perfectly to the anime, because after the Tsunade arc there's a "Filler Arc". So techincally it does fit.

If Animesuki puts this torrents up, i will think their whole site and policy is a huge farce. Putting theatrical releases on a torrent site while they are still in the theatres would be going to far imo. Crossing the thin line you are already walking on when taking illegal caps from tv and putting subs on them. Personaly, i dont care much about these rules, i download wether its licensed or not, but im not the one making a strong point about being legal and fair when it comes to taking money out of peoples pockets the whole licensed vs not licensed issue. Putting a movie thats still in the theatres, even if its just japan, on a torrent site would make animesuki's standpoints a joke to me.

This would only work if Sasuke does wake up before the next in-manga arc would begin. Wich would mean that they would have to move away from the manga plot. Wich i strongly doubt will happen. In the case it doesnt happen, it doesnt fit. Wich is 99% most likely gonna happen.

Well, it is gonna happen, after the Tsunade arc, the anime won't be following the manga, infact they're going to be introducing a new character, weither its for the arc or for the cast, I don't know, but there is going to be an anime-only arc, and its very possible that it will be tied into the movie.
