choices, choices..... do you go with
A.) Nanoha, who must speak to her family about her illness and explain both Fate and her situations at home.... or
B.) Fate, who is looking into the eyes of a paladin, who knows Nanoha's parents...
Page claim for being evil!
You ARE evil I think I'll like a bit of suspense as to the dealings with the young paladin. Seems a little too easy just to have Hayate fall in line with Fate after being a little shaken up. Although ... it'd be amusing to see Fate squeeze info out of reluctant Hayate lol.
But we're well overdue for some Nanohaspection.A
@Keroko: doumo I like my cute things with sharp teeth.

I was tempted to buy the whole damn building so I would have authority over them, but the paperwork would take too long...
As I sat outside of the room waiting, I heard Caro's voice come from the hallway. "She's this way, right?"
I looked up from my seat and froze in my tracks. Along with Caro were two people I didn't know, but assumed were Nanoha's parents. Besides that, I saw a short girl with brown hair walking with them. A familiar 'X' shaped hair clip was in her hair and her voice matched that exactly of the paladin that I had ran into not long before.
"Thanks again for coming, Hayate-san. I'm sorry we had to run off during your meeting with the youth group at the church."
Hayate smiled at the father and shook her head. "No problem, besides, I'd like to meet the daughter of the youth minister. She must be very nice." Her eyes turned to me and she stopped walking instantly.
"Hayate?" The man stopped as well and looked back at her, then at me.
Caro ran over to me and smiled. "Fate-san, how is Nanoha?"
"She's... she's okay I think. They won't tell me anything or let me in the room." I slowly turned my eyes from Hayate and knelt down to teh short pink haired girl. "Will you tell her I'm here for me?"
"Yup!" Caro nodded at me and I pointed at the door. When she ran off into it I stood and looked at the group. "Hello."
The woman looked curiously at me. "Hello. Are you Nanoha's friend?"
"Yes ma'am." I nodded and bowed to her politely. "My name is Fate Testarossa. I..."
Hayate stepped forward. "Hello, Fate. Did you come to visit Nanoha-chan?"
"I brought her here." I looked at them and trusted in the vibes coming from the short one that she wouldn't attack me. "Are you her parents?" They nodded and I smiled at them fondly. "I see where she got her good looks from," I flirted with the mother, getting an embarrassed blush and an approving grin from the father. "Go ahead and visit with her, I'll be out here."
They nodded and apologized briefly before they retreated into the room. Hayate exscused herself a moment to talk to me and we stood outside the door facing each other....
Can I Choose BOTH No, oh well then Ill have to go with A

These biological processes occur naturally in multi-cellular organisms to ensure optimal bodily functioning and efficiency. There is a balance of cellular death and division; old, damaged, or abnormal cells are destroyed and replaced by new ones. Programmed cellular death is a necessity for life.
Yet, what is it then, when this very process turns on itself, a person’s own body rebelling against the very act of living?
When cells only die?
It is called death, of course.
----------------------------------
Vivio Takamachi, age 10. She should be enjoying life, playing with friends and attending school. Afterwards, she would go home, do homework, eat dinner with her family, then prepare for the next day.
Instead, she lay upon a white bed, her body wrapped in white sheets. Her hair, once bright and vibrant blonde, was now a dull yellow that trailed lifelessly from her head. She seemed so frail now, so weak and fragile. How terrible Vivio seemed, with so many tubes and wires connected to her.
By the bedside, Nanoha Takamachi held the child’s hand, so thin and tiny now. How long had it been since they came here? Only a few days, but it felt like weeks. The rest of the world did not seem the least bit important compared to Vivio. Her adopted daughter’s change was so sudden, almost out of the blue. No… there were signs. They just did not notice it beyond the rose-tinted vision of happy family days. Weakness, loss of energy, difficulty breathing, pale skin, malaise: the symptoms just kept piling on. They had hoped it to be just a bad cold or some other common illness, but in reality, it was something far more sinister.
“Nanoha.”
The Ace glanced tiredly behind her, seeing Fate at the door with Vivio’s doctor behind her. With one final glance to Vivio, Nanoha stood and quietly walked up to her friend.
“She’s finally asleep.”
Fate could only return the same tired smile. She too felt the agony clawing at her heart, but she was sure it paled greatly in comparison to her best friend. Like Nanoha, Fate was trapped to watch that precious child suffer. “Yuuno-kun is with the others. They’re all in the waiting room.”
“Hmm. That’s good,” Nanoha’s reply sounded hollow and distant, causing Fate to mentally wince. “Doctor, the tests are done?”
The doctor nodded, his lips stretched into a tight frown.
“This is the most advanced hospital in Mid-Childa, and we still don’t know what is causing all this cellular degeneration. Its symptoms match nothing in any of our records, and we can’t explain why her cells are dying like that. All of our treatments have done nothing to slow the degeneration. We’re at a complete loss at what to do,” he said sadly, bowing his head. What worth was he, if he could not save this one fragile life? “I am so sorry, but there’s nothing more we can do.”
The words were like a terrible dagger, stabbed deeply into her chest and twisting, cruelly.
“H-how… how much longer?”
“The cellular degeneration is progressing at an exponential rate. By tomorrow, it could be worse, even double—”
“HOW MUCH LONGER?!” Nanoha all but howled.
“…One week, at the most,” the answer came in a dead mutter. Not even the doctor wanted it to be true.
Nanoha could only gape as the strength to stand, the strength to live spilled out of her like blood from a fresh wound. A strangled cry escaped her lips as she was caught by Fate in a tight hug, her fingers digging painfully into Fate’s side. The Enforcer could only ignore it, her own tears filling her eyes.
“No! NO! This can’t be happening! This nightmare can’t be really happening!” the girl’s cries were muffled by the fabric of blonde girl’s uniform, tears soaking into the messy cotton. “Why?! Why has it come to this? Why to her?! What sin has she committed to deserve such a fate?!”
Fate had no answer. She could only hug her dear friend tighter and share her tears.
“Why her?! Why now?! Why can’t she live a happy normal life?!” Nanoha sobbed into Fate’s chest, uncaring of where she was. It didn’t matter anymore. Nothing mattered anymore! The world… Her world… it was all coming to an awful end.
“Mama…?” Vivio’s voice echoed pitifully in the tiny room, stirring from her dreamless sleep by the cries. Nanoha was by her side in an instant, a shaking hand brushing away those limp yellow strands.
“I’m right here, sweetie. How are you feeling?”
“It hurts a lot, mama. I feel horrible all over,” the child groaned, twisting that dagger even deeper. By the door, Fate could hardly watch the two.
“Can’t you…?” she pleaded to the doctor through her tears.
With a shake of his head, the doctor could only look apologetic. “I’m sorry; she’s on maximum dosage. I’m surprised she’s even awake. Any more, and we’d waste what time she has left…”
Choking back a sob, the Enforcer held on to the door’s frame to support her suddenly weak legs.
“Mama? Am I going to be okay?” little Vivio asked in a whisper, her half-lidded eyes clouded with barely contained fear and agonizing pain.
“Everything is going to be all right, Vivio,” Nanoha whispered and petted her daughter’s head, wishing dearly that it be true. Her vision blurred as tears clouded them again, her voice cracking as she soothed her dying child. “Everything is going to be all right.”
----------------------------------
Seven days were given to her.
She only lived five.
As a precaution, Vivio’s body was cremated to prevent anyone from stealing the genetic data of the Saint King from her remains. Instead of Mid-Childa, the child would be buried on Nanoha’s home planet, Earth. It was a second home to Vivio, a wondrous place for the curious girl. Like her mother, she too loved that world. Here she would be laid to rest, away from the prying eyes and reaches of all but the closest of friends.
There was not a single mourner without tears that day, even those who could not be present, far, far away across the stars. How could there not be?
The Takamachi family, along with Suzuka and Arisa, paid their respects with their silent and tearful vigil. They knew of the child’s importance, of the love that Nanoha had for her. In that, they knew of the grief their daughter and friend carried.
Chrono and Amy huddled with their children, their quiet tears like those that flowed from Teana and Ginga. In contrast, Subaru bawled pitifully into her hands, snot and tears soaking her palms and face. Lindy too, her handkerchief soaked. Caro and Erio hugged each other close, their quivering forms shaking with every sob they could not hide, and Eina, the dutiful maid, poured out her laments.
Hayate was like Vita and Shamal, unable to hold back their mournful cries. They too suffered from the loss, a beloved child stripped away from them. Though silent, Signum had twin streams trailing from her eyes as she bowed her head, dripping onto her tightly clenched hands. Agito rested upon the swordmaiden’s shoulder, trying her best to resist, but not even the fiery Unison device could stay silent. Reinforce Zwei, though this be her first experience with death, understood the sorrow of loss. But of all of them, none could fully understand the absolute sorrow and grief that Zafira suffered in his silence.
He sat with them at the front, the ones closest to Vivio. Though he was silent like Fate, Zafira’s tears were like great rivers down his chiseled face. Hands clenched in fists of rage, he could only shudder with every cry, his shoulders shaking with barely contained sorrow. He had been close to the girl, a caretaker as much as a friend, and his heart broke with every painful wrack and choking cough Vivio suffered. He had been there, by her side. When the time finally came, Zafira bid her good night.
Arf was with him, her head resting on his quivering shoulder. She felt not only her own, but Fate’s grief. It pained her in seeing her precious people in so much pain, but she could do nothing more than cry with them. Failure gripped both her and Zafira’s souls – they were supposed to be guardians, protectors of those closest to them. Yet for all their power, they could do nothing but watch a child wither away.
Fate felt it a twisted irony, that she, a copy of Alicia, be allowed to live this long, yet an innocent soul could not even live to see her eleventh birthday. Were all those involved in that cursed project doomed to always suffer? The pain in her heart was strangely dulled, the wound shallower than she had expected. Was it perhaps she had suffered this same pain long before, and now with its return, she felt less? The very thought of it horrified her.
Yuuno was like Zafira, for he, too, was close. Closer, even, for those days when he took the time to teach little Vivio magic and the basics of support magic. How adorable it seemed that she grew a great interest in the Infinity Library, absorbing every word he spoke and reading every book he suggested to her. As much as she was Nanoha’s daughter, Vivio also felt like his own child. And with her death, Yuuno felt that he had lost a piece of himself, forever irreplaceable.
But Nanoha… That child was an utterly inconsolable wreck. No, perhaps wreck described it inadequately. Whereas others openly mourned Vivio’s passing, Nanoha seemed incapable of crying any more. Instead, she sat there, Yuuno and Fate by her sides, completely silent and dead to the world. Dried trails of tears trailed down her tired cheeks, her eyes as lifeless as the rest of her. Eyes that gazed upon a cold stone tablet that bore her daughter’s name.

“The data we will get will be most informative. What we’ve received thus far is very fascinating.”

“Should we care? Their lives have no meaning to us anymore. They have lost the clone.
“Hmm. What I would do to get the black one, Precia’s final work. The other one, the boy, he would be a fine specimen as well.”
“That is true. Send a note to the coroner – have their bodies delivered to us should she ever terminate.”
“Patience, my colleague. Haste will only draw attention to us.”
“Ahh. Yes, you are right. We have waited this long. We can wait a little more.”
SAD *Sniff* Loved it though.

The Air Force captain had a bottle of wine in one hand and a dozen roses in the other. Her intentions were written all over her devilish grin. She had been given the afternoon off by her commanding officer and knew how she wanted to spend it: rounding third base with Fate. She ran into the blond Enforcer’s living room to see Fate hurriedly shutting down her video monitor.
“Hi…Hi…Nanoha!” the blond greeted nervously.
“What were you doing?” asked Nanoha suspiciously.
“N…n…nothing,” stammered Fate, “And whatever happened to knocking?!”
Nanoha smiled and put down the wine and roses, “Were you looking at porn?”
“Yes!” declared Fate, “That’s exactly what I was doing!”
Nanoha was confused. Fate sounded a little too adamant.
“You should have told me,” Nanoha said seductively while walking in front of Fate, “We could make it a group activity.”
Before Fate could react, Nanoha turned on Fate’s video monitor.
“What the…”
“NO!” cried Fate, “DON’T READ IT!!”
Fate tried to turn off the video monitor, but Nanoha restrained her while reading the large block of text off of the screen.
“Forever love: A Spoogey and Splurt Story by xXSplurtLuverXx…”
“STOP!” scream Fate desperately.
“Spoogey and Splurt?” laughed Nanoha, “Isn’t that the cartoon you watch all the time?”
“Please…” Fate’s voice wavered.
Nanoha’s eyes continued to scan the page, “Splurt, how can I leave you…Oh my gosh! Is this fan fiction???”
Nanoha burst into a deep laughter while Fate covered her face in her hands red with embarrassment.
“It is!” yelled Nanoha with a triumphant laugh, “I would never have thought that you…Oh what’s this? Spoogey’s tender lips caressed…”
Nanoha stopped as she felt an intense pressure in her chest and looked down to see Fate pressing the bottle of wine into her chest along with the roses. Tears streamed from her mortified eyes.
“Fate?”
The pressure increased as Fate pushed the items harder without meeting her eyes. Nanoha took the gifts back, and the door slammed behind her as she left the house.

And now, I'm off to Otakon~
It's really sad T_T poor Vivio it's not fair! ... But your story is good ^^
Syn grogglily opened her eyes and blinked at the sunlight shining into her room. 'That's odd... The sun normally isn't up when I wake...' The girl rolled over in bed and brought her watch close to her face and hit the light up button to check the time. "Six ten...WHAT!?" Sitting up fast, she quickly scrambled to check her cell phone, seeing it say the same thing. "Oh crap!"
Falling out of bed, the blue haired girl stumbled to her closet, pulling out her school uniform and trying to get into it and wake up at the same time. "Stupid... Alarm!" She complained to herself while hopping to get the damned skirt past her (finally) developing legs. "I'm going to be so late!"
The door to her bedroom was opened so fast she hit herself in the head with it and stumbled back, falling on her butt. "Ugh... socks." Grabbing a pair from the laundry basket that has been on her floor for days without being put up, she slid up her socks and reclaimed her footing.
Syn ran down the hallway, buttoning her shirt while moving. "No time..." She decided to skip brushing her teeth and instead sprayed her deoterant on. Her keys were grabbed off her desk and she ran through the house.
The car revved as she hastily threw it into reverse and backed out of her house, cutting someone off who was going down their street and almost causing a collision. "Sorry!" She yelled out, rubbing her eyes.
Five minutes later she pulled in front of Vivio's house and looked at the girl puffing out her cheeks at her. "I was about to go ask Fate-mama to drive me," Vivio complained, obviously annoyed. "You're late!"
"I'm sorry..." Syn sighed. 'This is going to be one of those days...'
Yeah, that was my morning....
LOL. I dont think I can dress up as fast as syn..

Spoiler for Chapter 2:
“Current status: one hour before critical deadline. Target has been sighted: Saito Kazuki, age nineteen, second year student. Estimated height, one-point-eight meters. Estimated weight, seventy-three kilograms. Heavily gelled blue hair, athletic build, seems to be good-looking; all evidence points to playboy. Threat rating increased to –“
“Arisa, what are you doing?”
“Reconnaissance! Now stop interrupting me, I’m gathering data!”
Life goes on
Chapter 2
After hearing the name, Arisa had bolted off like she was possessed; leaving Takumi to wonder if the university would soon be dealing with the aftermath of its first homicide. He’d hurried to catch up, hoping to prevent anything serious from happening, but when he finally found the girl spying from behind a potted plant like an amateur stalker he suddenly wished he could sever all connections with her. The target of her criminal intent was, of course, the second year student Saito Kazuki, who had dared to ask her best friend out. He briefly considered backing away to avoid any involvement, but decided it would be better for the public interest if he at least tried to talk some sense into her.
“Do I even want to know how you’re coming up with all of this?”
“Female intuition, of course. How else am I supposed to profile the target?”
“Most people would try talking to him first.”
“And compromise my position?”
With a sigh, Takumi slumped to the ground beside the hyperactive blonde, rubbing the bridge of his nose. The girl had a stubborn streak a mile wide and it was nearly impossible to change her mind once she got going. Suzuka had a certain knack for swaying her, but Takumi had yet to master that skill, which was definitely a problem considering he was the only one who put serious effort into trying to stop her. He glanced back at Arisa, finding her still intently spying.
“I’m pretty sure Saito-san isn’t a playboy. He was normal enough when he asked Suzuka out.”
“It’s gotta be an act. Is he a theater major?”
“How should I know? Why don’t you just ask him?”
“Way too risky.”
Takumi slapped his palm to his forehead. By now passersby had taken noticed of Arisa, whose capacity for staying hidden seemed to be limited to one person at a time. He waved to the other students, a slightly exasperated look on his face, and they just laughed and kept walking.
“So what’s Mr. Threat-to-All-Females doing now?”
“Conspiring with associates.”
“…so he’s chatting with friends?”
“That’s what I said!”
“Right…”
Shaking his head, he slumped back down, realizing he wasn’t making much progress. ‘What’s she getting so worked up for, anyway? I mean, it’s just a date.’
“You know, it’s good to look out for your friend, but eventually you’ll have to –“
“He’s leaving! Quick, we need to follow him.”
Cutting off Takumi’s sagely advice, Arisa sprang up from behind the plant, taking chase after the unsuspecting classmate.
“- or you could just ignore me and keep up the super spy act.”
Wearily he rose back to his feet, following after the blonde. For the next half-hour they followed Saito through the campus, Takumi long since giving up any attempts at reasoning and instead did his best to make sure security didn’t get suspicious. Thankfully Arisa had decided that stalking from afar was the best course of action, for the time being, but as the minutes counted down her irritation was growing noticeably. Their latest stop was the cafeteria, where she had somehow procured a week old newspaper to glare over-top of. Suzuka’s practice would be ending soon, and the blonde looked like she was ready to pounce the moment Saito made a move.
“So, Arisa, just what are you planning to do? I hope you still remember the things called laws.”
The girl opened her mouth to answer, but suddenly leapt to her feet as she saw her target starting to walk from the cafeteria. With a rather murderous gleam in her eyes she took the first step forward – when an all-too familiar ringtone came from her cellphone, making her freeze in her tracks and stiffen considerably.
“Arisa, please tell me you checked to see if Suzuka actually agreed to go out with him.”
Arisa turned her head slowly back to look back at Takumi, a meek expression on her face. Hesitantly she opened up her phone and brought it to her ear.
“Um, hi, Suzuka…Doing?...Uh, just hanging with Taku…Late?”
Checking the time, she noticed that the girl’s practice had already ended twenty minutes ago.
“...Oh, well…Yeah, well I just thought you, uh, had a date…Turned him down?...Oh, uh…Yeah, no problem…”
A loud thud was heard as Takumi planted his forehead against the nearest wall.
“…So, we were just about to go get a bite to eat…”
----------
“That’s so adorable! Who knew you could be so cute, Arisa-chan.”
“Shut it, Reika.”
It was past ten at night, and Arisa found herself seated in a bar sandwiched in between the two people that absolutely refused to let anything she did be forgotten. Takumi was one thing; he’d lecture and generally state his disapproval, but for the most part he was civil about it. Her other friend, however, was an entirely different matter: Natsukawa Reika, a third year student and also Arisa’s coworker at the restaurant where she worked weekends. Reika was a naturally wild and blunt individual, and with Arisa’s own explosive personality the two were like peas in a pod, so they’d hit it off the first time they met: both figuratively and physically. The punk-haired redhead was currently laughing hysterically as Takumi recounted the afternoon’s adventure, tipping back in her chair as she held her stomach and nearly knocking over the dozen empty-glasses in front of her.
“I can’t believe you didn’t film this, Taku, I could’ve made a killing selling the video. Serious little Arisa-chan acting like a jealous schoolboy, it’s absolutely priceless.”
“I wasn’t jealous!”
“No need to hide it, Arisa-chaaan,” Reika said, reaching over to ruffle the blonde’s hair.
Arisa glanced over her shoulder to the booth where Suzuka was sitting, chatting with a teammate. Thankfully the purple-haired girl was far enough away that she couldn’t hear anything, saving Arisa from the embarrassment of having Reika spill the entire story to her best friend. She turned back around and shot a menacing glare at Takumi for opening his big mouth around the redhead. He answered with a smug look that said ‘you asked for it’.
“Aw, and now I feel so bad for Suzuka-chan. She’ll never have a boyfriend until she gets her little guard dog on a leash.”
“I thought I told you to shut it!”
“I’m surprised you still have a clean criminal record,” Takumi said, both jokingly and seriously, “I’d hate to see what happened to her other suitors.”
Arisa tilted her head slightly, momentarily lost in thought.
“I don’t think anyone’s ever asked her out before.”
Reika and Takumi suddenly shared the same blank, shocked expression, both acting like the blonde had gone crazy…well, crazier.
“Are you serious?” Takumi asked, finally breaking the silence.
“You’ve gotta be kidding!” Reika followed, “I mean, you I could understand –“
“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean!”
“Face it Arisa, you’re a savage. Anyone dating you would start sleeping with a baseball bat.”
“You’re not one to talk!”
“Me? I’ve got pure sex appeal; I don’t need to be nice.”
“Yeah right, maybe if you’re trying to attract – “
“You know,” Takumi cut in, “when I first met you two, I could’ve sworn Suzuka was already in a relationship.”
“Huh, what’s that supposed to mean?”
“I dunno. She just gave this ‘already taken’ feeling.”
“What kind of stupid feeling is that? You can’t tell stuff like that just by looking.”
“He’s got a point,” Reika said, looking somewhat thoughtful, “come to think of it, I got the same impression when I first met her.”
“Now I know it’s stupid, there’s no way you’d notice something like that.”
“What? Come on, I’d totally hit that! I love the sweet, innocent girls; plus she’s hot as hell.”
“What?! Hey, don’t you even think about –“
“Oh? My, little Arisa-chan’s gonna start stalking me now. I always wanted a hottie for a shadow.”
Reika doubled over in laughter again, probably imagining the girl trying to tail her. Arisa reddened in irritation, glaring at the redhead.
“Aw, chill out Arisa-chan. I’ll keep my hands off your little girlfriend.”
Arisa reddened even deeper, though for a slightly different reason. She opened her mouth to snipe back a retort, but nearly choked on her words as another voice drifted in front behind her.
“Whose girlfriend?” Suzuka said in curiosity, having walked in at the very tail-end of the conversation, unbeknownst to any of the three. It seemed like she hadn’t heard much, which Arisa was immensely grateful for.
“W-what’s up? Where’d your friend go?”
“Nana-chan left already, she has an early class. What were you talking about?”
“I-it’s nothing, Reika’s just drunk and talking nonsense.”
“Drunk? That’s insulting; I’ll have you know that alcohol doesn’t affect me in the slightest!” Reika said, leaping to her feet in mock challenge. To her credit she did managed to stand straight for a few seconds, but still ended up toppling over sideways, landing flatly on the floor.
“That’s odd. When did the room get so spinny?”
“Is she okay?” Suzuka asked, peering down at the older girl on the floor. Takumi sighed loudly, and went to help the redhead to her feet.
“I’ll get her home. See you two tomorrow,” he said as he got Reika to her feet. As the two awkwardly stumbled out of the bar, Arisa swore she heard the boy murmur something that sounded a lot like ‘nice save’.
--------
“Do you think Takumi-kun got Reika-senpai home alright?” Suzuka asked as the girls entered their apartment.
“Yeah, I’m sure their fine.”
Suzuka yawned deeply as she was slipping her shoes off, and Arisa soon followed suit. It was nearly midnight already, and they both had classes in the morning. They spent the next few minutes quickly washing up, before heading to their respective bedrooms.
“Night, Suzuka.”
“Good night, Arisa.”
The apartment was soon completely silent…until Arisa’s door opened. She crossed the hall, stopping at her roommate’s door before knocking loudly. From inside, Suzuka’s voice sheepishly answered.
“Um…ten more minutes?
Spoiler for A/N:
Sorry for the lack of Suzuka . Next chapter will make up for it, promise.
And thanks to everyone who tried to help out with names and Suzuka's sport. I haven't actually used anything yet, but it's definitely appreciated.
First exam is over! Next one is in a week...kinda wish I could get them over with all at once . Brief break is okay, I guess. "Life goes on" Ch2 is up on FF.net now, with some minor editing.
Hmm, maybe I can get around to writing Chapter 3 too...
Fate was in the middle of the ballroom. She was wearing a white plain dress or at least for her. She seemed to wait for someone but even she didn’t know who she was expecting.
A door opened. Nanoha entered, wearing a red dress.
The brunette got near the blonde and apologized for her delay. Fate smiled at her, and Nanoha smiled back.
Nanoha took Fate´s left hand with her right hand, and placed her left one in Fate´s waist. Fate blushed at the sudden movement of her friend. Slowly she placed her right hand in Nanoha´s shoulder.
Music started and both started to dance.
There was nobody else in the ballroom that could witness the dance. The music came from nowhere, yet that didn’t matter to the ones that were dancing.
Fate was nervous; she was dancing with the person she had loved for years.
Nanoha looked at Fate eyes, receiving a blush in exchange. The brunette was acting stranger than always.
The song ended and the dancing with it. Fate was unsure at what to do now.
Nanoha took the initiative and captured Fate´s lips with hers.
To think that a kiss that only took seconds could feel so…
The kiss ended, Fate looked at the eyes of Nanoha. Tears started to leave both eyes.
“I´m sorry” she said “But I have to leave” she tried to smile between the sobs “You understand that, right?”
And the dream ended.
---
Fate woke up. Why she had dreamt that?
She looked at the other side of the bed. Empty.
“Sir, someone wants to talk to you” Bardiche said.
Fate was afraid. She now understood the dream. She didn’t want to believe it though. She stopped her mind of thinking that. She hoped that she was wrong. That her heart was wrong.
But her hopes were going to be destroyed. Her heart was right.

@To all who don't know me (probably people who joined after I left): Welcome to the thread :3 I hope you're enjoying your time here (I know I'm rather late, but hey, better late than never )
So anyway, I came up with this after watching "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" with my sister last night and decided I'd post it here for the fun of it :3. Now, I know it's unlikely something like this would ever happen, but hey, this is fanfiction :P
Spoiler for Horror Movies:
A horribly high-pitched scream was heard as the chainsaw began to function once more. The girl screamed bloody murder as her boyfriend was being run through by the madman holding the dangerous tool.
Nanoha screamed her throat off as the machine roared furiously on screen, holding tighter onto the blonde next to her and hiding her face in her clothing so as to not see the blood bath caused by Thomas Hewitt, who would later be known as "Leatherface". Red eyes stared calmly into the screen looking but not really seeing what was happening. Fate was instead thinking about the girl desperately holding onto her as she ran her fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm her down. She had always wondered how in the world Nanoha would scream and yell her head off while watching horror movies but be cold and calculated while facing more terrible things than what was shown on TV. As things got worse for the girl on screen, Nanoha let go another uncharacteristic yell as though she was the one being pursued by a guy with a chainsaw. Fate chuckled inwardly as she mentally pictured the man being blown away by a Starlight Breaker and had to bite her tongue to not burst out laughing.
Blue eyes were hidden again in the black shirt the blonde was wearing and brown hair frizzled as the girl jumped for the umpteenth time while another scary scene passed. Though she felt bad for her friend, Fate couldn't help but thank Hayate for giving her some of her favorite scary movies to watch with her girlfriend. Nanoha had hugged her more in the past hour than in an entire month....and that was saying something. The movie finally ended "with a creepy voice at the very end, on top of everything else" to quote Nanoha, who was relieved and commented that they might finally put in something different. Fate sweatdropped as she eyed the films stacked neatly on a small table in the corner near the TV.

Meanwhile at Hayate's apartment...
"...Why do you keep randomly chuckling to yourself?" A puzzled Yuuno looked at Hayate as the brown-haired girl giggled to herself again for no apparent reason.
"Let's just say that I lent Fate-chan some movies." Blue eyes held a malicious glint as she mentally reviewed the list of DVD's the blonde had borrowed for the night. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, The Saw, War of the Worlds and Scream were good choices for a horror movie marathon. Hayate laughed to herself while thinking of poor Nanoha's face when she saw the sheer amount of scary flicks the girl had lent to the red-eyed teen.

I was listening to my (bootleg) CD of Avenue Q while working and thought I'd do a short of it lol. So here it is: the third installment of Section Q!
Spoiler for Mix tape:
Hayate looked up at the ceiling from her spot on her couch and sighed. "Yuuno... He likes me? I think he likes me... But does he like me , like I like him? Will we be friends,or something more?" sitting up, she leaned back on the couch properly now and continued speaking aloud: "I think he's interested, but I'm not sure." Her doorbell rang at that moment and she turned to call towards it. "Come in!"
Yuuno waved lightly at her. "Hiya Hayate!"
"Yuuno! Hi!" The girl hopped off the couch and ran to him, mentally scolding herself for being in her pajamas even though it was after ten in the morning.
"Hi! Listen, I was going through my CDs yesterday, and I kept coming across songs I thought you'd like, so I made you this tape." The blond handed over the cassette and smiled at her happily.
Hayate almost dropped the gift thanks to her shaking fingers. "Oh, that's so sweet!" A small pause made her realize that if she didn't say anything, and soon, then the boy might leave. "Um, can I get you a drink, or a snack or anything?"
"Actually, do you mind if I use your bathroom?"
"Not at all!" Hayate blushed darkly, hoping against hope that her dirty clothes from last night's shower weren't still on the floor. The boy smiled and walked past her, leaving Hayate to look down in awe at the present now in her hands. 'A mic tape!' She let out a small squeal of joy 'He made a mix tape! He was thinking of me, which shows he cares!' Moving to the couch again, she sat down and crossed her legs merrily.'Sometimes when someone has a crush on you, they'll make you a mix tape,To give you a clue! Let's see...'
Eagerly she started reading the titles of the tracks aloud to herself. " "You've Got A Friend""The Theme From 'Friends'""That's What Friends Are For"....shit!" Her depressed face quickly changed when she saw the next ones " Oh, but look! "A Whole New World""Kiss The Girl""My Cherie Amour"! Oh Yuuno, he does like me!"
Continuing, she read the next track " "I Am The Walrus".... "Fat Bottomed Girls"? "Yellow Submarine".... What does this mean?" Her confused look changed again when Yuuno sat down next to her.
"Hey Hayate, cute polka dots." His comment made the girl's cheeks color darkly.
"I knew I should have done laundry...Anyway!" She turned to him. "Thank you so much for this tape, I was looking at side A: they are great songs!"
"Oh did you see side B yet?" Yuuno scooted closer to her, a fact that the girl did not miss at all.
"Um, no, not yet..." She looked at the tape, feeling her ears burn now.
"Oh it's great, check it out!" He pointed to the first one. "Right here."
Hayate felt her words falter. " "Stuck on you" . "
" "Love Me Do". "
" "My Heart Will Go On"... oh, I loved Titanic!!"
Yuuno laughed nervously. "Um, it was okay?" He pointed again. " "She's Got A Way". "
" "Yesterday." "
" ""Goodnight Saigon!" From the Russia concert!"
Hayate tried her best to smile. "UM, great!" She read the next one " ""Through The Years" "
" ""The Theme From 'Cheers'". "
" "Moving Right Along".... Nice tape."
"There's one more." Yuuno smiled at her instead of looking at the tape. " "I have to say I love you in a song." "
Feeling as if she would pass out, Hayate swallowed thickly. "...I've never gotten such a nice present from a guy before..."
"Great!" Yuuno stood up and waved cheerfully. "But I have to go now, I'm gonna make one for Nanoha, Fate, Subaru, Tia, and everyone!"
The girl's face suddenly fell and she looked at the tape disappointedly. "Oh..."
"Oh, but Hayate?"
"Yes?"
"What are you doing tonight?"
"Nothing, why?"
Yuuno grinned. "Everyone's going out to Fuji's tonight.... would you want to come with me?"
"Like... a date?"
The male grinned at her stupidly. "Yeah. A date."
"I'd love to!!" She shot forward and nodded as fast as she could.
Taking a step back from the suddenly excited girl, he blushed and nodded back. "I'll pick you up at eight?"
"Sure!!"
"Okay... bye then!" Waving once more, he slowly left and closed the door gently behind him.
"Oh Yuuno!" Hayate fell back on the couch and held up the tape above her with both hands. "He DOES like me!"
Aww, some YuunoxHayate is always nice. I like these ones "I Am The Walrus", "Fat Bottomed Girls", and "Yellow Submarine".

Chapter 00: Intro
Vivio’s POV
It had been a year since she’s gone, a year past…
Everything changes….
I see life in grey instead colors like I used to see…
I look at my hand that covered by her blood…
Syn’s blood….
I close my eyes as my mind takes me back to that day, the day everything change for me…
I remember it like it was yesterday, Syn screamed my name to warn me, I looked in see a man, he attacked me from behind, I turned around and tired to block his attack by Falling soul, I saw Syn ran to me as I felt Falling soul slipped from my fingers from my blood, I saw Syn as she lunged forward, phasing through the air in a short-length teleportation, the man stap her with his claws on his weapon at her back, she took the stap to protect me.
I fell back and land on ground, Syn on top of me, i was so scared, I called Syn, I talked to her, I told her to hang on, I looked into her eyes seeing her life fading away, I cried, my tears fell down ran on my cheeks, I told her not to give me, to stay and she would be alright, I didn’t know what to do, i hugged Syn in my arms looked at her.
i lean closer to her, my cheek against hers, I told her that I love her…
At this moment she stopped breath, I looked at Syn’s dead body, I no longer about the war that was around Syn and I, I held Syn.
Nothing held meaning to me anymore. Not the mission, not the outcome, nor the people trying to tell me it would be alright. Nothing mattered but Syn who still in my arms, the ache in my heart, and the feeling of having something stolen from me. I closed my eyes tightly and I pulled the Syn closer, I let out a scream.
Nanoha-mama came from behind me and embraced me, she talked to me, I couldn’t hear what she said to me, I cried, I screamed.
I knew only thing she knew was that I would never be able to be with Syn ever again.
“Vivio-chan.” Aunt Hayate called me; I opened my eyes and looked at her.
End of Vivio’s POV.
Vivio looked at Hayate “Hello aunt Hayate.” She greeted her aunt with sad tone.
Hayate smiled a little “come here Vivio-chan I want you to meet someone.” She said as she looked at Vivio.
Vivio nodded her head and walked with Hayate, Vivio looked to see Signum and someone else, a fiery red haired girl older than ten, and she has pointy cougar ears and tail, she wore dark blue jacket, white shirt, black trousers, belt and black boots.
Hayate stopped and looked at Vivio “Vivio-chan meet your new partner, Sen.” She said.

"This doesn't make any sence" Vita said to herself looking at the old scroll
"The Power of the Master Light lies in the eyes of the 7 kings of the White Order" This was the only phrase plasmed on the old paper
"What does it means?" Nanoha asked
"I had no Idea" Hayate Replyed "The 7 Kings of the White Order? The Master Light? I don't get it"
"Well, wathever it is, that woman seemed to want it" Fate said while grabing the scroll
For some reason, Vita sence that she had heared about the Master Light and the 7 kings of the white Order before, it was pretty strange, she feeled herself linked to this words but couldn't figurate exactly why
"I found something!" The voice of Yunno was heared from out of the room, he entered very quick to Hayate's Office, placing a book on the table
"What is it Yunno?" Nanoha asked
"I found this about the Master Light, years ago, in an island of the world of Sahkar, members of the TASB found a table written in ancient Belka who said the words
... 5 winds...
... over the edge...
... tiger...
... Master Light...
... end of the...
"That only leaves more questions" Signum added
"I know, it is not much, but it is all that I could find, nothing about the 7 kings of the white order though"
"But something tells me that in that island we can find more about it" Vita said "We must go to that place"
"Uhmmm... there is a little trouble,we had no relations with the world of Sahkar, and even worse, there is a Civil War in that nation" Yunno added
"Oh,crap! It makes no diference, we must find out what is this Master Light in order to find out what did thes woman wants, there must be something we can do"
"Well... there is one option, we can teletransportate one mage to the island" Rein said looking at a olographic screen on Hayate's table
"Why just one?" Vita asked
"Well, that island had a strange magic energy who seems to be blocking most of our magic, aparently, it only allows to teletransportate, keep comunication, and get out one mage at time... it's very... strange"
"Okay, I'llgo then" Vita added
"W-Wait! Vita you can't be talking seriusly, we are not sure about this! We don't know if there is truly information about this scroll in that island, is too dangerous also" Hayate replyed to her dear Vita verry worried, she knew Vita, she knew that when something got on her head, there was no way of making her change of mind... and she was right
"Hayate, this guya are sealing that allusinogen as a drug! They are killing people probably because they want this 'Master Light' we must stop them, and if there is sometyhing on that island that may help us, we are loosing precius time" Hayateremained silent, she aproached to Vita and replyed her
"That's my little Vita, alway risking herself in order to protect the people she loves"
Vita activated Graf Eissen and her Jacket barrier before steping on the teletransportation chamber in the TSAB edifices
"Cordenates ready" Rain said
"Are you still sure of this?" Hayate asked
"Yeah, go to the island and find the rest of the table, how hard can it be?"
"He, he... that's my Vita, do you had the table?"
Vita raised a blue bag before placing it on her back, she had with her the table in order to find the rest of it
"Okay... let's go!" Hayate ordered
The machine in wich Vita was standing started to glow, a yellow light appeared beneath her, it growed and growed and after some seconds, Vita had dissapeared
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What the...! Uh! WOAAA!!!" This was the first words of the little mage after founding herself in the middle of a big ocean and falling inside the blu wather, she quickly started to swim until her head was finally out of the wather
At the distance, she spoted a big island with an enormus castle in the top of it, at her back she heared a strange sound, like a song being humed, she turned and saw a fisher's boat with a veru curius young guy rowing it, she was the one who was huming that song
"Hey... You! Any chance of a hand?" Vita said while swiming to the boat, the guy noticed her and helped her to get aboard
Aboard the boat Vita had a better look to this guy, he was like 18 years old, brown short hair, and green eyes
"T-Thanks..." Vita said
"He, he you aren't a mermaid, right?" The guy said
"Uf... uf... No... Uh, who are you?"
"My name is Cross, Alphonse Cross at your service... and you?"
"Just Vita"
"What are you doing here" Alphonse asked "This isn't a good place to swim"
"I'm suposed to be on that Island"
"He, are you sure? This island is about to be bombed!"
"Eh!... by who?"
"Well... by the navy of course!" Alphonse replyed while pointing at a enormus navy of ships and planes at the distance that Vita still didn't get noticed"
"Crap!" Vita replyed
"Oh, don't worry my dear, there is someone in the island I need to find first, those navy chaps won't attack untill they get my signal" Alphonse giggled and toke a small bottle who said "Grape juice" but before he could drink it, a shoot broke the bottle, it wasfrom a snipper from the island
"What t...! That was my last bottle you bounders!!!" Alphonse screamed very angry, Vita looked among the boat and find a strange pistol, she grabed it and pointed it against the sniper on the island
"Wait! Don't!" Alphonse screamed to Vita
"Get down!" Vita said after shooting the pistol who was actually a flaregun, the flame hit the enemy soldier who falled dead
"Wow! That was a good shoot!" Alphonse said
"Well, I don't think much out of this weapon"
"But I'm afraid you let the cat out of the bag now!" Alphonse said while starting to row again
"Why?" Vita asked
An explosion at the side of the boat, made the boat literraly 'fly' after falling to the wather again
"What's going on?!" Vita asked
"Ha, that flare was the signal! Is gonna be a bit hard from now on" Alphonse replyed with a smile on his face, Vita noticed that the planes and boats were attacking the island
"Damn it!" Vita said "Listen, if you can take us to the island without get us killed, I'll help you find your friend, Okay?"
"Of course my dear, conciderate it done!" Alphonse replyed while the boat keeped aproaching to the island in the midle of that battle
Haha Alphonse! He was funny. I wonder who he is looking for on the island.

Sitting up fast, she quickly scrambled to check her cell phone, seeing it say the same thing.
Wow, she gets ready fast. I have like 3 alarms in the morning because two is not enough.

Hayate exscused herself a moment to talk to me and we stood outside the door facing each other....
choices, choices..... do you go with
A.) Nanoha, who must speak to her family about her illness and explain both Fate and her situations at home.... or
B.) Fate, who is looking into the eyes of a paladin, who knows Nanoha's parents...
Page claim for being evil!
No the evilness!! But I still pick A

It's Thursday, so guess what? Yep.
Angst.
Enjoy "Phenoptosis," the phenomenon of Programmed Death.
Spoiler for Phenoptosis:
Apoptosis.
Autophagocytosis.
Programmed cellular death.
These biological processes occur naturally in multi-cellular organisms to ensure optimal bodily functioning and efficiency. It is an integral part tissue development, allowing the body to grow then shape itself, and it is an important component of homeostasis.

Above them, the sun shined on, its glorious rays a bitter reminder of the light they had lost. There was not a cloud in the sky or a cold wind to blemish this perfect day; only a pleasant breeze and warm sunlight. Bright green grass swayed with the wind, lively and vibrant. The trees, they too danced with the sylph. Life was all around, except for one place.
How ugly it all seemed.

In a place unknown, unlit save for a multitude of glowing telecommunication screens with darkened faces in each window.
“It seems Doctor Scaglietti was not able to imitate the late Precia Testarossa's masterwork perfectly.”
“Aye, his arrogance and sloppiness shows.”
“Programmed cellular death. How idiotic. Did he not realize he had enemies even among those who created her?”
“Fated to live only ten years. She was doomed to die from the very moment that zygote split. Utterly pathetic.”
“His madness had blinded him. But not us.”
“A shame those children became so close to an Artificial Mage.”
“How ill-fated. The girl had a happy life. Then she died a slow and painful death.”
“Unfortunate, but there is nothing we can do.”
“Such is the fate of beasts made by foolish men.”
“Well, did not this tragedy begin because of a woman?”
“Hardly. She just finished a portion of the riddle of what humans have been trying to grasp for an eternity: the secret of life.”
“And by proxy, immortality.”
“The data we will get will be most informative. What we’ve received thus far is very fascinating.”
“Yes. We’ve managed to acquire the clone’s body. A suitable replacement was successfully infiltrated.”
“They will not know the difference with those ashes.”
“Ironic. The girl was named after the word ‘to live.’”
“How do you think those children will fair? This is quite possibly the worst tragedy in their entire careers.”
“The white one will be the most hurt. She gave up much of her life just to save that little thing. How betrayed she must feel.”
And now, I'm off to Otakon~
So sad. The ending really worries me though.

Ouch, that's awkward. Poor Nanoha.

Nanoha had left her alone.
*sniff* Short but so sad.

Hayate is evil. Hello! I've seen your name before.

Nanoha didn’t tell anyone because she wasn’t ready. She was unsure how everyone would react. Even if her girlfriend assured her that nobody would find it disgusting, she couldn’t bring herself to share it.
Fate had another reason. It wasn’t because she was unsure or because she respected Nanoha´s decision. It was because only they knew about. Sure it was a selfish reason and an unreasonable one for many, but she didn’t care.
It was difficult to hide it from everybody. Denying their love was hard, avoiding interlacing fingers when walking next to each other was almost impossible, avoiding kissing each other lips hurt them.
But they had to endure it, because they needed each other.
Because they loved each other.

I love it, bravo, keep going.
@ Laith: it's so sad, keeping going, you have a skill in writing.
@markesellus: glad you like it, i will do my best.
@Kossa: Im putting Vivio and Syn at early teenage years, although i've not quite decided on age. It depends on where i take the fic, or how mature it gets..............
@Alquall: Yeah i can understand about writing Syn is difficult if you didn't create her, i just figured id give it a shot. I keep asking Keroko questions, sorry about that Keroko!
Anyway here is part 2!
Spoiler for The Beginning 2:
Lunch passed too quickly for the two young girls sitting on the roof. After the initial embarrassment of Vivio, Syn quickly warmed up to this blunt and strong headed girl. She had obviously heard of the baby devil and the name that went with it, and after just under an hour of non stop chat, she realized they were so similar it actually hurt. Syn had also been singled out at her previous school. She had been with her mother these last few months while the arrangements were made for her enrollment at this academy. An urgent mission had come up not too long ago which had been the reason why she was late in starting the school.
“So have you got a device yet?”
Syn snapped back up to look at the girl in front of her after her little daydream.
“Not yet, I want to specialise in Belkan style magic, but I’m more of a ranged fighter so I’m having a hard time finding one that I want. I still train with some basic devices and have had some battle experience but not a device to call my own.”
Syn wondered why she felt so compelled to answer Vivio’s questions so readily, she usually sounded people out first before letting her defences down. She didn’t quite understand her unconscious will to please the girl in front of her, something about her smile seemed disarming.
“Why are you so interested in Belkan magic?” Vivio replied, curiosity shining in her eyes.
“I…..don’t know? Just when I was younger I had an interest in it, and also the wolkenritter, I really like their style of magic! It’s more potent too!”
Vivio giggled slightly at the outburst. Syn automatically went back on the defensive.
“What’s so funny?!”
“Ah…. No it’s just you looked so serious in class, you finally opened up a little! Besides if you want ranged weaponry, can’t you modify a mid type gun style device?”
Syn’s face softened again after she realised she didn’t need to be so uptight. It was just an automatic defence mechanism. Mid childan magic was the standard type, she usually had to defend her choice of Belkan as it was sometimes looked down upon.
“I don’t want a gun type device, it doesn’t offer the same sort of flexibility with its projectiles, I need something else”
“Your quite stubborn about what you want aren’t you?” Vivio replied.
“It’s not that I’m stubborn! Its that the TSAB doesn’t supply enough for Belkan style mages! Theres hardly any! You think they would encourage it more with knights like Signum so well revered!”
Vivio just watched as Syn went on what must have been the fifth rant in their little talk on the roof. It seemed the girl was stubborn and passionate and wouldn’t back down against anything. Vivio smiled, she thinks she could get along with this girl quite well, but there was something about her last name….Virage. ‘Where have I heard that before?’
The bell rang, suddenly ending the fool-proof case Syn was demonstrating on Belkan magic causing the girl to go into a slight huff as they made their way back to class.
The rest of the day went by fairly smoothly and soon it was the end of the day where the students could head back to their rooms. Just as they were packing away and Vivio was about to ask that they walk together Syn turned to face her.
“Hey Vivio, I’ve got to go sort out some registration forms as I was late, it could take a while and is tedious so can I catch up with you later?”
Vivio asked to go with her but Syn said it would be boring so they went their separate ways.
As Vivio was walking back towards her dorm she mentally cursed. ‘I forgot to tell Syn what room I’m in! Mou! I’ll have to try and find her.’ Vivio went back to her dorm room and found her door ajar. Mind quickly advancing to the worst case scenario she silently dropped her bag to her side and backed up against the door hearing some movement inside, the person was still in there. With a sharp intake of breath she burst through the door to come face to face with……
Syn was wondering down the corridor cursing again at how long the stupid forms took, and why she was late in the first place. She finally found her new dorm room, hopefully all her stuff was moved in. “Let’s see, room 403..”
As she opened the door, the sound of laughter met her ears and her bag and mouth dropped at the sight in front of her.
“M…..mum!?!?!”
A blue haired woman in a naval uniform looked at her daughter standing awkwardly in the door way.
“What are you doing here? I thought you had to leave for a mission and….”
“I’ve not got to leave just yet, and I couldn’t when I realised you had left some important things behind in you room!”
Vivio just sat silently as she watched the exchange with a cat like grin on her face. She knew she had heard the Virage name before, Nanoha-mama had introduced her to her one time, she didn’t know Syn had famous parents too! ‘Maybe that’s why we get on so well so soon?’
Syn’s face paled at the full power motherly grin on the person in front of her including the small satchel held in her left hand.
“I couldn’t let you come here leaving all the girly stuff behind I bought you especially, you will never lose your tom boy image if you do! I’ve also briefed Vivio on the situation!”
Syn shot a look at her new friend, glaring with all her power and mentally trying to imprint the message of “You dare carry out that mission under penalty of pain!” but it just bounced off the grin that Vivio was also radiating. Syn was not one to back down. Ever. But her mother was the only person who seemed immune to her arguments and glares. Reluctantly sighing in defeat she went and sat down on her new bed opposite Vivio.
Her mum then began to unzip the bag and kneel behind her while absentmindedly chatting away. “Isn’t it great you will be sharing a room with Vivio, I bet Hayate had a hand in this, and your friends already!....” Syn began to get a little sleepy as her mother played with her hair and began putting some ribbons in it. She seemed to come up with new hairstyles every time she did this and she would have to keep it on at least until she left.
Vivio was staring at the girl in front of her intently, it reminded her of her mama. It made her a little homesick, but at the same time happy that she had found a comrade in arms. Maybe she could convince Syn to let her play with her hair sometimes, although that might take a little working up to.
“There all done!”
Elena announced as she got up from the bed and stood next to Vivio as she examined her handiwork. There stood Syn, in the standard uniform, but not had two pigtails either side of her with one red and one blue ribbon holding each in place. Syn sweatdropped as her mother cooed over her and how feminine she looks. She glared at Vivio who was hiding a snigger behind her hand. Oh that girl would pay later on.
Vivio sensed that Elena would be leaving soon and made an excuse to leave.
“Elena-san, I’ll go get some food for me and Syn for dinner, I hope you will visit again soon!”
A brief hug was exchanged before a whisper was ushered into Vivio’s ear.
“I know she can be stubborn, but please look after her, she’s like you in many ways and by the looks of things I think she might actually listen to you….” A soft chuckle was heard before Vivio left the two alone for a little while.
“Mother…”
Syn looked up at the woman as she was caught in an embarrassing hug, now more content to lean into it now no one was here to witness it.
With a little more talk and words of encouragement a final embrace was shared along with a loving kiss on her daughters head.
“Be strong Syn, I am already so proud of you, just do your best.”
Syn could only nod as she stubbornly kept herself together in front of her mother. She would never admit it to anyone, but she loved and respected both her parents, but felt a larger attachment to her mother. Being away form her for so long after being with her for many months will be hard, but she will persevere. She would not disappoint them. She would become a daughter worthy of two great TSAB naval officers, and two great parents.
A small tear was wiped out of her eyes before it could make itself known as her mum left her in the room alone. Another voice was heard muffled beyond the door before Vivio came back in with various food in her hands and chucked it on her side of the bed before facing Syn again.
Syn was just standing there, arms stuck to her sides, trying to maintain a straight face. ‘I won’t cry….I WONT CRY!’
Syn didn’t notice that tears were already streaming down her face even though no sound was being emitted. Vivio silently moved across the room and gently embraced the frozen girl. Not being able to offer any words of comfort, just the warmth that she wasn’t alone, as Vivio pulled Syn to her, rubbing her back softly.
