It's real. Archer's swimsuit is a speedo.

There was an image of Saber's swimsuit (what is the woman version of mankini?) earlier, I wonder exactly how swimwear fit into the story? But then again they managed to fit a naked, shining Gil into the story.

Have you seen the pictures drawn by different artists of the OST booklet? Most of them are technically porn

These are the ones with the least fanservice but still hot:
Images
NSFW
Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

You didn't post them, but the Kiara, Rin and Eliza ones are also really nice.

The FeMC pic borders on excessive, while the Rani and Passion ones are just no...

At first I was thinking, yeah maybe a bit too risque for this forum, but I doubt they're truly borderline porn! Then I saw the Caster one...

I now concur with the sentiment that some of them are borderline porn.

The Caster one is drawn by renowned h-color artist Ishikei/Nise Midi Doronkai... so yeah.

Type Moon knows that no one really cares about the Fate/Extra series as a shoddy rock/paper/scissors RPG anyway. They buy it because it's Type-Moon.

Eh, I loved the RPS combat because it was a very unique change, so to each their own.

And aside from it being cheesecakey as hell, that is a gorgeous Sakura/Rin piece. Some talented work.

A new arrival showed up yesterday!

Spoiler for More pics:

Spoiler for With Saber Extra:

I only wish I had been able to plump for the OST as part of the same order...

I'm resurrecting, partially, the topic, as I've been playing (rather slowly due to time constraints) the game, and I think I'm almost at the halfway point (around mid-end of Chapter 3). Let's say I am very disappointed in the game, and not for sticking to the terrible battle system or the sub-par technical level. Mostly has to do with the writing.

Nasu said before the game came out that the script got really bigger after the delay, and it is indeed bigger than EXTRA's semi-minimalistic approach. The issue is that is literally littered with needless padding. To elaborate, the game keeps making fun of the established characters of the old game, but doesn't know when to stop. Several times conversations drag on too long without offering anything worthwile. Also

Spoiler for Some story spoilers:

On the upside, the dungeons have become bigger and some (like one at around mid-chapter 2) are also interesting to do. What's not interesting is that certain events just have you go back and forth the dungeons for no reason other than artificially slowing progress down.
Punish time is...amusing, that's all I'm going to say. Voice acting seems to be distributed randomly, despite having more voiced lines, especially during long events in the Student Council room.

In short, as of now, I wouldn't recommend the game even to people who played the original.

Do you speak Japanese? If not, then of course you're not going to understand what is going on....

Gotta say, little disappointed seeing this get bumped and not having it be Nerroth linking a localization announcement.

I wouldn't even have gotten the game if I didn't know the language. Nasu's style is also peculiar, so it requires more than a basic knowledge.
But with this game certain dialogues are really stretched too much (not to mention the odd way of deciding what is voiced and what is not).

Gilgamesh stripped before Elizabeth. And his jewels shined like gold.

Elizabeth: Eek u perv!
Gilgamesh: Behold my golden rod!

I won't even see that scene, as I flat out refused to use Gilgamesh (I don't like the character one bit). I sticked with Saber like I did with the original game. Still, the humor is too hit and miss, especially when it wastes time that could have been devoted to the story.

Spoiler for Example from Chapter 3:

So if there is an announcement and someone other than myself makes it to this thread first, will you still be at least half-disappointed?

(I would hope not so much.)

They should be there now; I had to wait for the monthly bandwidth ticker on Photobucket to reset.
