Infinite Undiscovery by tri-Ace

Suprised there isn't a thread about this game yet since it's due in a few days.

An Action RPG made by the same people that made Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile series, it should prove to be a pretty good game.

There's also a pre-order bonus for this game, although it isn't quite as good as the Lost Odyssey pre-order.

No surprise for me. It's on the 360, and you should know that the system isn't exactly popular among anime fandom (which is generally devoted to Sony), no matter how many promising jrpgs come out.

Anyway, I am definetely going to buy this, being an old time fan of Tri-Ace. It's also their first "next-gen" title as well, so I'm really curious to see what is going to be like. And if it's good as I hope it is, it would be cool if it would sell well, so that Tri-Ace is enough convinced to start working on a next-gen Valkyrie Profile 3.

I hate you all. Just because 'pre-order' bonus was mentioned, I pre-ordered IU from across the border, and now I've spent ~$30 more due to shipping, exchange rate, and pre-order savings I would have from where I would've bought it. All for a stupid lithograph and ONE in-game item? God, that's such a bad deal, but I'm a sucker for it anyways.

I think it's a DLC item that allows you to purchase many special items in stores that you wouldn't be allowed to normally if you didn't posses said item.

Getting this next week, can't wait. The only thing I'm bummed about is the possible lack of after the game bonuses(dungeons, bosses, etc) that normally are common in tri-Ace games. Oh well, maybe they're saving it all for SO4

Sep 5th over here, cant wait. have to say hilary's review at ign was pretty poorly done. His criticisms where pretty stupid to rate it a 7.1

I myself have this habit of not actually trying a game until after I get the strategy guide, so that would be for me 2 weeks after the game's release as well. Which is all well and good, as I'm expecting the game to not come until a week or so after anyways due to customs, as I ordered it across the border.

Ironically, I usually never use the guide anyways, since I like to keep it in pristine condition.

Haha, I've developed the get guide or don't play the game syndrome as well. Although I do it due to the fear of being forced to play the game over again to obtain a key item that I missed 20 minutes into the game. Think FFXII

I don't know about other regions, but North America (particularly USA) has...

It looks like a really good game, as expected from Square Enix. However, my lack of an Xbox 360 and rather unwillingness to buy one (Wii is my next-gen console of choice), I think I'll have to pass unless they decide to release it for the PC/PS2.

I'll rent it, the review on Ign said nothing really made it stand out from any other jrpg.

Think I'll pass on this, it simply looks like they took all the worse off aspects of Star Ocean 3 and decided to make a game out of it...and Star Ocean 3 wasn't very good either.

And the Radiata Stories vibes just get stronger...

Well, it's just a single review, but I'm just not feeling excited for this game especially with SO4 coming out. Ah, decisions, decisions...

It's averaging a 69% on metacritic at the moment.

forgot about this thread, just though I like to add that Timberlands is the worst level I've played in recent memory. I swear my party grew by 10 levels, at least! I feel like slapping whoever green lighted that level over at tri-Ace.

I actually loved the Timberlands, it added the unpredictable variable with all the portals and also the Lunar Rain. It was probably the best place to grind some levels.
