Guten tag, ladies and gents. After a shoddy performance by the baldy who was nothing but talk, we return to the ultimate showdown. Oh boy. That geezer's going to fight. Hehehehe.. Of course, he will expose his nipple.... again... , but that's the price I'm willing to pay to see him in full blown action. We have already got a glimpse of how cool this geezer can be in the Amagai arc even if he isn't doing anything, one of the fewest positive things that came out of filler/crap stories in Bleach. Although I'm not expecting him to start anytime soon, I can still rejoice at the clear indication of the fact that Kubo seems to be inent to explore his capability at a certain degree this time around after seeing Kumamura's getting some positive screen time. Like few of the Bleach-fans have already mentioned, it seems this fight will showcase the ability of few characters who haven't been explored before. I'm looking forward to it.

The episode preview for 221 has given a fair idea how the match-up is going to play out. The only one we didn't see was the chick with her mask on whose mesmerizing poses possesses the Bleach Image submission thread oh, so often. I echo the instant groan all the fans let out in unison at the silly censorship to downplay her appeal just because ..... well, she is still hawTTTTTT! Must be the mask!

Just saw the episode

Actually I'm pretty much happy with it

Yeh it isn't full of action, but it still has action and humor in it

Apache was simply pure win

Geta Boshi you must be jumping from joy now

ho ho... Matsumoto!!!!

Spoiler for episode 221 specific:

Matsumoto took on Halibel's three underlings all by herself. The gall of this boin-boin onee-chan! Her exchange with those three was just as funny. Matsumoto told one of them that since everything about her appearance is so damn-bad, it was surprising that she is got such good ears. This fraccion overheard when Matsumoto suggested she would take on all three of them so her taichou can deal with the big, bad girl who wants to play. Dear heaven... the way the Halibel took out that sword.... GAAAR-HAAAR. Whooopss.. I'll get back to her in a second.. but first, more about Matsumoto. After she finished her first insult, she identified the amazon looking fraccion as the "Mesu Guerilla'' aka "Guerilla bitch." I'm so taken in with Matsumoto in this week's episode. She is one of my favorite character in Bleach, so I'm happy to see the positive reinforcement she is got in this episode. The question is how long she can carry on?

Now to Halibel.... I had an ear-to-ear grin as she slowly took that sword out. The fraccion with the good ear wanted to go back and help Halibel. The guerilla chick stops her saying that Halibel took out her sword from the get-go. You know what that mean? It's lights-out for her opponent. I so hope she gives a thorough spanking to this chibi-taichou before the shounen aspect kicks in where the good-guy will rein victorious eventually. I so wish Romi Paku would voice more female-characters instead of these annoying shoutas.

Looks like Shunshui has found someone similar to him in nature to fight, the type that likes to wait around to see if everyone around them who are duking at each other heedlessly can determine an outcome.

That way, there won't be any need to fight. Shunshui is, however, wants to fight this time around.

The geezer opened his eyes. Oh-o.

And just when it seemed like Soi-Fon has her opponent outmatched, the preview goes to show such conclusion is a premature one. Her arrogant self could use a beating. Then again, the arrogance is her charm and makes her extra cute whenever she is around Yoruichi.

Her VC is doing pretty well considering his take on things thus far has been nothing but yelling with his jaws agape most of the time. There has to be a reason why he is a VC.

I also enjoyed this week's episode. Aside for the music, which was sub-par once again, it was a solid display of match-up. I wonder when Komamura will show up. He was the only one missing from the picture.

I've never really liked the mid air action, the whole dust thing when people slide around, it just doesn't look right. They should at least add some wind effect.

Soi Fon's voice sounded different.

Because she has different voice actor... I myself prefer her old voice more... it suited her personality very well...

Good episode. I'm surprised they actually got to some fighting instead of drawing everything out to no end.

It was a decent episode. Maybe I'm just really bad with humor but I didn't laugh at all at the jokes (not really a bad thing; I don't hold humor as a point for/against a show unless it's main genre is comedy), but I did laugh slightly at the conversation between Matsu and the three arrancar chicks for next week's preview.

I honestly didn't notice that Soi Fon had a new VA. Then I guess the VA did a good job.

Mostly talking, and the same style sword slapping as Ken and Nnoi had...hopefully next week they will kill someone

on a side note, Ichigo and Byakuya were hilarious this week in the Zanpaku-to segment, made me spit out my soda.

I also did not notice Soi's new VA, but I did notice the voice seemed to get slightly deeper.

enjoyed it, didnt felt to boring to watch except from some sword fights who looked like 7year olds fighting with plastic toy swords.

Spoiler for not available for download yet so just in case (impressions): Not too bad overall, but not even close to the animation level of the Hisagi fight (not that I was expecting it). Lots of re-introductions and self introductions. I'm sure that there will be lots of complainers as usual, but I had fun (also per usual). Next week's main event should be fun, I always like rooting for the underdog characters

Ichiban Hayai Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Greece Age: 44	Spoiler for first thoughts: Starc was cool in his 'lets pretend to fight' demeanor. Halibels' sword draw was also cool as said previously. But what really made my jaw drop was Soi Fon using binding kido. I thought she was one of the pure force/agility types, who don't use kido even if they know how to e.g Kenpachi, Komamura, Ikkaku etc.
