Epic scenes in anime.
I just finished Mahoujin Guruguru and just wow. Very nice last three episodes. 43-45.
Now it has it's epic moments. One of them was when they summoned monster, and theirs opponent said "you summoned your friend, I'd summon my companions" and summoned an army. Then the monster said: "lets dance" and Ulberg started to dance on monster's head. It didn't take long until that army was annihilated. Another epic moment was when they have been beaten up as a distraction for main characters, then Ulberg moved again: Spoiler:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taV3l3XoJVA The above video describes Ulberg fairly well... The scene from first episodes when hero ate diner that looked like a map and then he heard "You ate poisoned swamp thus you are poisoned, if you don't want to die you must eat this temple here, it contains antidote:", was epic too. Hero decided it's much safer to be fighting monsters than having diner with his parents. Now a lot of anime try really hard to have flashy scenes, but there are only a few scenes that can be called epic. |

Gintama is full of epic fights. Eh, I couldn't find one that I really like on YouTube, but I will just give a link to one of the scenes in the Benizakura arc. My favourite is the Jiraiya arc though. The black and white effect, plus the music placement and Gin's serious expression blew me away.

Probably when Kenshin and his crew returns home to Kaoru at the end of the Kyoto arc with this song being played in the background:
That or any Captain Sagara flashback and whenever Shinomori Aoshi remembers the Oniwabanshū. Saito vs Kenshin was great and the flashbacks to Seta Sōjirō's past was pretty sad. Yes, huge fan of Rurouni Kenshin. |
