Lmao its there Viral Marketing I swear! I just want Vol. 10. I would rather have volume 10 of the novel over season 2 as I read novel 9 last month after holding out for 5 months and

after reading the 9th, I can say I HATE the cliffhanger ending on the beta line, alpha line doesnt really appeal in anything.

What if they annouce that the 10th book comes out the day that Season 2 airs.... Yeah like that would happen :P.

...well, that cancellation of 801-chan anime may just be a small warning
for reminding it's fan to buy dvd.
I think kyoani will still make that anime anyway.

look like haruhi is not only the core of kyoani's market right now,
but also an symbol that kyoani use for deliver an massage to other fans:

"buy more to prove your loyalty, so that we will make more for you."

which means we may get a chance to see haruhi gender-bending together with 801-chan on 2009,
so that kyoani can use kyonko as a force to push 801-chan fans buy more dvd,
just like what they did to key fans with chibi haruhi and lol-fang tan.

it seems that kyoani is not only an great anime creator,
but also an excellent business schemer as well.

then what anime would them use haruhi s2 to push......

Well, looks like things have taken another turn...for the worst maybe?!
So now, Tonari 801-chan has become "shelved"...why can't Kyoto animations just become straight forward and just say, "Haruhi season 2 is coming spring 09". All this teasing with the new season is really getting irritating...if its part of a viral ad compaign, I don't know whether to call it smart or dumb as to praise this type of advertisement.

So I guess we all can be sure that Haruhi season 2 will be after Clannad ~after story~...right?

So until we get word from Kyoto Animations, Haruhi season 2 will pretty much remain in mystery until then.
Dumb viral campaign that they were doing...what was the whole point of hyping Haruhi season 2, even as the cover story of Newtype, and then suddenly become silent all over again.

At the moment..... from the outside it looks like someone had a momentum project rolling for S2, and then someone higher up without a clue derailed it for other projects.

Loss of momentum and fan buzz can be just about impossible to get going again.... it doesn't really help that the light novel series seemed stalled itself until recently. I suppose they may be trying to coincide more of the printed series and some merchandise with a second season but it still just seems a bit awkwardly done.
