I can't help you there, and since the LNs, manga, and anime have all been licensed, we really couldn't go posting links to such sources even if we did... sorry, I hope I didn't come off as rude.

Fan service? I honestly didn't notice... truly! However, I may be blind to such things as they pertain to Holo.
But, I will agree, the manga does indeed capture the "cutest" elements of the characters and does a wonderful job of graphically depicting the interplay.

True, after all Holo makes everything seem like fanservice, not just mild nudity

Oh, I don't count nudity in Holo's case as such... since she is a Wisewolf after all, and as such has not required clothes in the past.

Besides, even if that were the case, it has been tastefully done.

I have always thought of FS as things such as panty-shots and the like... I would be saddened if my favorite female character was reduced to such cheap things. I am glad the official works have not done this to her.

I didn't quite mean juvenile anime fanservice - if they reduced it to that, I'm sure they'd never live it down

It just seems so ridiculous to her character/etc that I doubt even a doujin could pull it off without it being an obvious attempt at comedy.

No one came off as rude and you all were wonderfully helpful clearing up things for me. Thank you. I just really wish they'd hurry up over here in the states... =[ I really want to read this story. Also I like the Manga and also believe it shows the cuter/loving side of both of them. I also enjoyed the anime a lot as well and I like both lawrence and Holo equally. They are amazingly deep characters and I really enjoy the story for both sides (Merchant and Love)... Ugh this is so depressing... =[

on a side note. Do the Light Novels have picture's like a Manga? also anyone know what stores carry the dust cover with the Japanese artwork?

The LNs do have a few pictures strategically placed. They are different but both capture the essence of the scenes quite well... both artists are quite skilled!

Great news! Volume XVII does contain the three stories that had not been put into volume format... just to remind folks, they are as follows:
"Peddler/Merchant and Dark Grey Knight" 「行商人と鈍色の騎士」
"Wolf and Grey Smiling Face" 「狼と灰色の笑顔」
"Wolf and White Road" 「狼と白い道」

However, I have not seen what truly new material is included!

So, that leaves the "Wolf and Gold Wheat" book and "Wolf and Star-Colored Howling" from the Guide Book not currently on the schedule for the West.

Of course, there is also the matter of the Holo-tan short story.

Then, as far as the manga goes, there is still the matter of the two Holo-tan manga and Dengeki Comic Anthology needing a Western release.

Remember, to buy the artbook coming out at the end of the month!

Oh, and I'm trying to get the details, but it appears there will be a very limited release (600 copies) of a book of Spice and Wolf postcard art.

Just as Mr. Anime said, I wish to read Japanese even harder. I am going to attempt to find classes that allow me to do so.. Hopefully. (as it looks like Japanese is the hardest language to read).. GODDDDD!!! does anyone think that they could actually take the time to translate them from their Japanese to English? Volumes 7-17, I mean.. As there are so many who can not read Japanese, and that all the volumes passed 6 are not liscenced by Yen Press yet, so is it even possible to consider this..?

They have licensed the series, full stop, as I understand. They're just being slow in releasing.

On the subject of the artbook due at the end of the month; Otaku.co.uk have put up a provisional page for it following my discussions with them, for £33 I think it was, which works out as about $50.

Luckily, as I understand bonuses come up in April if we get one, so I'll be adding this to my basket, along with Spice and Wolf S1/2 on Blu come payday

Don't have a link, just seem to remember it being mentioned early on, might have been one of the discussions/interviews with the guys at Yen about the series.

Edit: Actually here's something a little more cement:

I can’t wait for Spice and Wolf novel 4! So looking forward to it. Is Yen Press going to publish all the volumes of the series? Will Yen Press publish the epilogue volume? I really want to buy all of it from Yen Press.

I’m getting the Haruhi hardcovers too. Are those selling well? I’d be depressed if they stopped getting published.

Also, looking forward to Higurashi and Sunshine Sketch, I love both of them. Higurashi is awesome and SS is adorable. (I wish Sunshine Sketch’s anime had an English dub.)

@Richard J. We do intend to publish the full series; the volumes we have posted on the site are just the ones we have firm dates for. Once we’ve worked out the schedule with our licensors, we’ll post the rest!
Hope that makes you feel better.

Tryranuus, this makes me feel very much better. I do not care how long I have to wait, because I want to read every. Single. Book. And then have if all in collection. Because this series is by far the best I have ever encountered.

You have my deepest gratitude, sir.
