I don't doubt she was affected. But she did exaggerate for Naru-chan's benefit. She is a celebrity afterall

Really? I think the Mai x Naru-chan pairing is likely, though by no means a foregone conclusion.

What's this? No love for Monk-san? Shouldn't he be allowed a honey as well?

If Naru doesn't return Mai's feelings (my preferred pairing), Monk-san can comfort her. (I'd much prefer a Monk-san x Mai than a Monk-san x Ayako. She's too much vinegar for my tastes.)

As for John, he's a cutie. But I really do prefer my Roman Catholic priests to honor their vow of celibacy. However, if he leaves the priesthood, then all is good. He can pair with Masako.

Does anyone know what the name of episode 7 is? I'm trying to find out if the anime is going to do the little sidestory at the end of manga volume 2 or if it's going to hop into the volume 3 main story.

mmm...the theme tunes are beginning to grow on me. very nice feeling.

plus episode 04-05...mm..thats where the real action beginnings!

But you have to admit it was a nice first few episodes, its surprising when a ghost series, the first episodes has no ghosts. But thats only to establish that the group isn't looking for ghost if it isn't there, but thing certainly do get stranger.

This is one anime you don't want to watch in the dark, alone, if you have a weak heart or easily scared

"After-school Sorcerer 1". (FILE3 「放課後の呪者」 #1). "Sorcerer" may not be the best translation. The word appears to mean "someone who casts spells." Here is the "next episode preview" page of the official site. The actual preview trailer isn't up yet, just the title.

Yes much. Ep 4 especially. The first arc (first 3 eps) is really character introductions and setting up the basic premise.

Sounds like the anime is skipping straight into manga volume 3 then. Unless the anime tacks on the volume 2 side story to the beginning of the next episode, the anime will probably skip it. That's a shame. The side story doesn't offer much in the way of spooky evil scary spirits, but it's very informative for establishing character relationship dynamics.

I'm pretty sure the "呪者" bit would be a person who casts curses, not spells in general. Seems to be a made-up word though - at least, I haven't found it in a dictionary yet.

it feels more like a curse evoker, even though i am not too sure myself. @_@;;; i do not think it's a sorcerer per se.

Well, I really enjoyed the conclusion to File 2 (ep 6).

A rather sad story but with a happy ending. Interesting that monk-san likened Naru-chan to an Onmyouji and that he (Naru-chan) played a major role in the conclusion.

I honestly lolled when Mai dreamed of Naru-chan and he was this sparkling eyed bishie and she wakes up and he's his usual stoney self.

I thought the music is this ep was really good. Toshio Masuda does a top job of conveying the spooky atmosphere. Looking forward to the ost release.

I was wondering if what you mentioned in the episode 6 spoiler had happened or not. I don't understand Japanese, so I didn't know if that was in the anime or not.

The fact that monk-san likened Naru to an onmyouji becomes a plot point in the next story arc. It's not just a randomly thrown out thought that's forgotten about in the overall storyline. So I'm glad they included it.

I really liked the music in episode 6 as well. I've read some complaints about the opening and ending credits music. But I think the music fits the series well. The music also appeals to me above and beyond the series' connection.

...because Naru-chan hasn't displayed any real 'supernatural' skills up to ep 6, then after the conclusion monk-san mentions onmyouji. I was kind of waiting for his skill to be revealed.

I think Mai even mentioned Abe no Seimei in passing, which ties in (albeit superficially) with Shonen Onmyouji, which I'm also watching at the moment.

I was dissapointed to read similar comments, but I think the choice of music works really well. Toshio Masuda's music is very atmospheric, especially his soundtrack for Mushishi. I'm enjoying the tracks he's doing for Otogi-Jushi Akazukin also. His music seems to suit the supernatural and fantasy well.
