Greetings everyone!
Could someone please confirm if light novel Highschool Of The Dead: Owari no Hi is a part of canon manga story or just alternative take on the first chapter and we can ignore it? As I understand it's not even officially translated in to English like manga. Thanks! Update: I found the following here HOTDcupsSeptember 12, 2012 at 5:29 PM "Owari no Hi is the novelization of the series by Daisuke Sato. It has a number of differences from the manga version but it's incomplete and the only compiled version of it is a bonus booklet that came with the 9/2010 issue of Dragon Age. The complete single-volume novel was scheduled to come out in March of 2011 I believe, but needless to say, it was never released. Given Daisuke's track record, it was probably never finished" So it's safe to say that light novel is not a canon prequel for manga as it's got number of differences. It's an alternate story line. So it's safe to ignore it. Last edited by Yoshiuki; 2015-06-29 at 12:48. |

I've been reading this recently finally and I've got up to a really sad bit in one of the later volumes.
Spoiler for Character Spoilers:
I didn't even realise this has been on hiatus for so long, which is kind of sad in itself. Oh well, I'll enjoy what I have left! |
