Honestly I haven't watched or heard a single thing about Heroic Age besides it's awesome Single from Angela. But I do know it's a space/futuristic kinna thing right? Maybe you can find something more helpful over there? Though this is just a guess and might not be of that much help.

Something like Heroic Age? hmm...kind of stretch but I suppose Eureka 7 and Nadesico might fit, both are in future and both travels in ship, expect Eureka 7 is not in space. Also I think you could try Fafner, it's quiet different from Heroic Age but it's made by the same studio. I can't really pick a show that's similar to Heroic Age but these are the only thing that I could think of.
