Their appearence in GoD never made much sense. The Book of Darkness only had Fate's memory to base them off of, but somehow they had memories of things Fate couldn't have known about.

Let's not forget that the Book never absorbed Chrono's Linker Core, but I'm told he had Dark Pieces running around, too.

I know that at least one Dark Pieces of Yuuno shows up in GoD, but he was likewise un-drained.
