The only problem I have with the art style is how they did the eyes... They look terrible!
However, the way Rin and Komari look on top of the rooftop I find to be pretty darn good. I just hope J.C Staff could keep up that style or maybe even better throughout the series until the end.

I think the eyes look very similiar.
Compare this with this.

They certainly look much more similiar to Na-Ga's style than what the Angel Beats anime did.

The PV appeared to show each characters route including refrain, however, that's really no indication of the final length of the series. I can't see how they could possibly fit all characters routes and refrain into 26 episodes, I'm sure they would need to add at least 13 episodes to cover refrain as it is the greatest part of the story. I read that Key have said it would be 'significantly long' and that they would cover most of the parts in the VN.

To me the PV looks promising although there is no actual episode footage, but nonetheless, I am hopeful for this adaptation and I hope they deliver

Judging by the comments around here, I'm the lucky one to have never seen any kyoany/key/whatever anime before so I can just enjoy LB
Living under a rock has been scientifically proven to be not healthy.

No really, go and watch at least CLANNAD. It's consistently rated as one of the top 10 series in the last decade.

Sure if you compare those two images the eyes look fine. But that was the point I was trying to make, I suppose I wasn't clear about it...
Sometimes the art looks great, but at other times, it looks terrible.

For example, the quote from Kaisos shows it very well. However, I'm specifically talking about Komari's and Kud's eyes. Ignoring the pupils, it just does not look very good due to the size. And btw, what's with Kud's face? It's so square! You know, now that I think about it... It might be the size of their faces that's the problem. Mio's face looks extremely long in the anime PV... and Anego's eyes doesn't have that mature allure to them.

But as they say, "at least its not Toei".
first thing that passed through my mind

But yes, at least it's not Toei I guess. I think we should make that the series new catchphrase.

Yes, because "Let's wait and see how good it is, then decide" would never work...

I seriously suggest against that, clanand si easily the best vn adaptation ever made, so watching clannad before little busters is like eating file mignon before eating a burger, if anything watch kanon or air so you go up on quality and save clannad for last.

Well, I think Kanon 2006 is a better series than Clannad + AS, but that's probably just me

For now, let's just try to stay on-topic, and not digress into our favourite Key anime adaptations. Of course, I realize that, for now, staying on-topic may simply mean waiting for more news. The next volume of Dengeki Visual Art's should be released by the end of the month.

I'm disappointed that KyoAni isn't animating this.

Fair enough, relentlessflame said that we should go back on-topic, and there you have it.

At this rate of popularity, I expect this anime to get a subforum by the end of September.

I expect it to get a sub forum by the time the anime starts airing. I even ask if its possible to get a sub forum before the anime even starts to differentiate a comparing thread to the new news about the anime or anime thread.

Damn, it's going to be so much fun if J.C Staff totally screws up, everyone will go nuts after all. I easily expect the "episode 1" thread on the subforum to have a huge amount of posts deleted if that happens.

Okay, I think we're getting ahead of ourselves with this sub-forum discussion, so let's hold off on that and not bring this thread (once again) off-topic.

The designs are slightly growing on me I just can't get over Riki's eyes they are much too rounded. Any guesses on Sasami's seiyuu?
