Hmm. Interesting. I don't think Kise has any directing experience. Also, I haven't seen the Mardock Scramble films, so I don't know about Ubukata's writing skills. But well, it's GitS so I'm cautiously optimistic that this might be watchable.
Here's a short video of Kise's animation:

Why the blood hell do you people quote ANN like mindless sheep instead of just pasting the original source? http://ieee80211abgn.blog58.fc2.com/...ntry-2696.html
Also, Tow Ubukata recently mentioned he's working on a TV series and a movie, considering they've announced the new Fafner movie, this could be a TV series. Original source also mentions a special event on 12th of February, I think they'll show the PV there and it'll be streamed live. "It's basically a press conference/talkshow event. It'll be freely distributed, but who knows what form. Yes PV. " " Video announcement like trailers and a talk show at the event. They'll also show parts of past series. I forgot to add, official page & twitter:
http://www.kokaku-a.com/ https://twitter.com/kokaku_a Since the magazine is on sale tomorrow (which is eh, now in Japan), I'm guessing they should open soon. EDIT: Also Toho, didn't they also register the Yowamushi Pedal page which is confirmed to be a TV series. |

BTW, I started to watch a bit of it on my local channel, and I heard Psycho-Pass might be influenced by it, so I'm curious to see more.

@Misao
Well, Ghost in the Shell is one of the influencial cyberpunk anime, along with Akira. Let's just say that it's pretty much the measuring stick to which cyberpunk series are judged. It have the action, as in what you'd expect from a SWAT/GIGN type of paramilitary organization, cute mecha mascots in the Tachikoma, and a fair bit of social and political commentary. Rejoiced over the news I am. |

Huh, wonder how this will turn out. The last movie they made about the franchise was pretty bad from what I remember, but this still sounds more interesting than most of the anime stuff we get nowadays.
