I mostly listen to hardcore rock and metal. I listen to all kinds of metal bands like Nightwish, Drowning Pool, and Dethklok. Hardcore bands I listen to the most are Rise Against, CKY, ACDC, and Celldweller.

I used to be a fan of Rock music, but as the new post 90's rock bands rose to prominence, there has been a serious lack of talent going on in that genre.
So I moved. Since my original favorite genre became completely hacked and butchered, I gave other genres a genuine shot. I tried out Hip-Hop, Rap, Electronica, Pop etc. and it was pretty good. I just had to stay way from some of the stereotypical mainstream stuff. Pretty much any genre but [current] Rock and it's newer crappy "subgenres". But honest favorite? Classic Metal. |

I listen to quite a bit (much like other people have already said) but my favorite genres are all sub genres of metal. Progressive, Power, Symphonic, and Gothic metal, mostly. I have a currently growing interest in Gothic and Progressive since I've found more bands that fit the bill.

Rock, above everything else. Metal comes next, but I don't bother with the sub-genres and stuff since it gets a bit too complicated to me when it comes to remembering that sub-genres name. XD
After that, everything else is okay. If I like how it sounds, I listen. I guess it's because my musical tastes was influenced in a way by my entire family. Master of Puppets in one second, Motteke! Sailor Fuku in the next. It's like that. |

Jpop and Jrock for sure. Mostly Jrock, but some jpop is cool, too.
Techno- I don't usually listen to it when I'm just playing on my computer...but I love dancing to it. Sometimes it makes good car music. Rock- just about all subgenres except for easy listening and "Soft rock". Occaisonally I'll settle for indie that only has acoustic guitar....but usually I need to be hearing some hard guitar going or I won't like it. That being said, I like a wide range including punk, screamo, hardcore, metal, etc. Pretty much anything at warped tour. |
