You're reading it the wrong way round - the RHS comes before the LHS (which is presumably East 2). It can't be left to right because the dealer moves to North when they lose their seat.

As for me, I will be cheering for Rinkai even though the more I look into it, the less likely I can see them advancing which is good thing for you. I like them, because all the players have some credentials thus making them the most well-balanced team of the 3 opponents Kiyosumi is facing. I don’t like Usuzan, because they’re the most imbalanced team with three weaklings (one which will have to face Teru) and one freakishly strong captain. But of course, since captain decides the match, no matter how well Rinkai performed in the four previous matches, if Usuzan’s captain tops them then it’s over unless they manage to bankrupt one of their opponents before that. In addition, Ritz also has tendency to kill the hype, like what happened to Eisui and Shiraitodai, and since Rinkai is most hyped, I don’t trust Ritz will let them advance.

The main issue I have with Usuzan is I don’t like Ritz’s idea of giving them one of the weakest players in the top 8 team as possible opponent for Teru. Naruka is not Jindai, not Satoha, not even close to Subara. I can’t see her as anything other than deadweight when facing off against Teru. She will turn the supposedly epic vanguard final sour.

BTW I’m indifferent with Himematsu, even though I can see people getting tired of them. It’s Rinkai all the way for me even if I not sure whether they will made it through. Damn you Hype Killer Ritz.

Right. That was it. For some reason, I kept thinking that you'd move along with the order of seats ESWN. But if East keeps moving to your right, it'd be backwards. Woops. Thanks!

As for the Rinkai discussion, I hope they get through because it'd be cool to have a well-balanced team strong across the board (hopefully) - and we really could use one after Shiraitodai's performance - and Mahjong Batman is awesome.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the new Shinohayu image. Granted not much to talk about other than character designs but still they look nice. I instantly took a liking to the blonde girl though I do like Hayari and new girls (who looks like Kuro) design as well.

First of all, short hair Hayarin is adorable, and as you said, and I like blondie as well, looks like she could be fun (maybe the team's coach, ala Hisa, or something), but that said, I do NOT like the other new girls, she looks way too much like Kuro, not that I'm a hater or anything, but it's actually hard to tell them apart just from the face alone, and it irks me.

Also, that uniform looks incomplete, like there were supposed to be buttons in it but no one remembered to add them in the final design.

Looks like a winter top-coat to me, plus some uniforms do have a slight change over time. New girl has a little touch of an early Marlo Thomas/Sally Field hybrid about her IMHO.

That would be the greatest thing ever.

Honestly, why does she look so much like Kuro? It's not like Igarashi or Ritz can't do black haired girls differently, I can easily distinguish Ryuuka from Kuro, so what's the deal with this one?

I think they use the hidden zipper behind the line of the uniform, if there's any button they may be for decorations

Isn't this supposed to happen 10 years in the past? And Kuro's age like 16 or 17... Unless that person in the picture married at age 10, I don't think she is Kuro's mom. Maybe an aunt or cousin

From the looks of it, Teru's character is going to be a slow starter since it seems that she'll have to win at least once before her tiles start getting better.

Also, about Awai's power here, does she still keep the other features of her power (bad opening tiles for other players, double riichi, kan dora, and no yaku)? The match presented in the preview seems consistent with that, but I wonder if that will still apply in the game itself?

After looking at new-Kuro-alike girl for a while, this new girl looks way more mature and more clamly than Kuro. She doesn't wear any hair decoration too.

I think if we need to know her personality to better separate her from Kuro.

i love Kuro design much but i do not like her personality.Hopefully, new-Kuro-alike girl is not at least quick to cry as Dora magnet.
