Besides in most cases, their titles are their abilities. Mikoto is the weird one with three titles, [Ace], [Railgun], [Electromaster], and Accelerator whose title becomes his actual name.

As far as I know, Mugino, Accelerator, Hamazura and other refers to her as Railgun, electromasters there are a lot and Ace is used when talking about her in Tokiwadai's school for high class girls.


In resume, the Level 5 are known more for the use of their abilities rather than the category or the very name of her powers. Remember Awaki is a teleporter but the reports about her being the guide to the Windowless Building refers to her a Move Target (Vol.15) or else BLOCK would've after every teleporter on the city .
