Well I wasn't even aware there were two Owl to begin with.
True, wasn't really paying attention while watching the last couple of episode.

To me, the Owl was a one eyed Ghoul. So having two of them... But i'm suspecting you're not an anime-only watcher, right ?

For what is worth, I also wasn't aware of the two Owls thing. I don't think the show has been that explicit either, it is just that I didn't know where to watch. It doesn't help that it never impressed me that much per se but only in relation to the suspect of him being who he actually is in fact in that case, and the also other case btw, the show has done a good job.
But not it should have done otherwise, after all it's not a pillar notion on which the show should have built anything. We didn't know who the first Owl was, it would have been a bit confusing to add more fuel to it.

They look different and they were even pointed out to look different by some of the police. They did not know why the Owl looked different sometimes but we were shown that Yoshimura was the original Owl from his big fight and that the other Owl was smaller and running around in places that Yoshimura had no reason to be. I had no idea who the second Owl was until this episode though.

That was a good episode. It's the calm before the storm but man did it feel somber.

This episode flew by in a flash. Yoshimura's scenes were rightfully awesome but I found it amusing the CCG committed this much manpower based on some surveillance and Shinohara's intuition. Well mostly just because of how much info the anime had left out to rightfully justify they had found the Owl.

Agreed. The episode went by really fast. Really felt the emotional aspects of this episode like the previous one. The testamentory notes really hit home. Also, ghouls seem really good in close quarters combat right? Why charge in when you have machine guns? I'd sit back and shoot if I were the CCG grunts.

It's less prevalent this season but the "rushed" feeling of the anime is still there, although I don't really mind considering how well some of my favorite scenes from the manga have been animated.

They do shoot from a distance, it's just that the ghouls close the gap fast enough that it would hardly matter

Takizawa behaved like he knew he wasn't coming back.
Guess it's not surprising considering who they are trying to catch.
Practically everyone said their goodbyes.
First part of the episode felt like prep.
Some of the doves despaired hard..
20th ward got shut down with no mercy.
Anteiku was hit.. as expected.
It turned into an all out war!

Well, it seems that ghouls (especially koukaku and bikaku) seem to tank rc bullets pretty well, to a certain extent.

Spoiler for some thoughts:

Well, nice chapter, liked a lot the part of Tsukiyama. Saru and Kuro Inu were excellent too.

mr owl doesn't seem to be putting much thought into his strategy, unless he wants to die of course

How is this the same show it was in the first half of the season? I can scarcely believe it, but Root A has had one of the most stunning turnarounds I've seen in awhile, to be delivering these incredible episodes one after another. Please let this continue on to the end of the series.

There's just so much to gush about in this episode, from the cinematography and the action (Who knew the two background members were such badasses?) to the emotions (That Touka and Yomo confrontation!) packed in every moment.

It took me a moment to notice it, but the 15 is missing.
Kinda odd considering that they kept the 12, the 1, and the 13.
They even added more 12 then there was back in the first season too.

I am pretty sure it is Takizawa who is in the last panel.

Watching this last fight brought to mind a question I have had since this show started. How long have ghouls been around? Because unless they are very recent addition the world should be a very different place.

Really you should have a class of Ghoul overlords left over from them dominating the ancient battle fields.

I think its the other way around Youshimura is the smaller owl since he is the one they faced on the rooftops. They mentioned that the one they faced was smaller than the one they had previously encountered. This episode was just pure awesomeness. They managed to deliver so much action and emotion at the same time. This was one of the best episodes so far if not the best.
