It's epically awesome nonetheless.

Mythbusters, except centered on war-history and for bros.

And a fair amount of stupidity thrown into the mix...Myth Busters at least knows how to do science.

Deadliest Warrior does stupid stuff, like deciding that Lever action rifles are better than hand grenades...ignoring they do completely different things. Or testing similar weapons effectiveness...by giving them completley different tests.

Well, it is Spike TV afterall...

And at least it's more historical than the unHistory Channel (aka Nostradamus/Alien Conspiracy/Reality TV channel)

KGB vs. CIA definitely had a cool fight in it. Was hoping for the Russians to come out on top (I'm from Russia originally xD), plus, they had a hotter girl.

Speaking of which...

That Gun Kata scene between the two women was the highlight moment of it.

Unfortunately, I think the whole show was decided at the gun testing phase. Whoever has the better longest range rapid-fire weapon in modern fights will win it, simply because IIRC, as Max Geiger said, long-range weapons are tested first, so if you have the infinity plus one sword and they have a BFG, they're going to easily drop you 520 times or so for the win before you get close.

Nearly every single one of Sun Tzu's weapons is inaccurate.

The back scratcher wasn't a battlefield weapon, and didn't even exist in his era. The back scratcher was a Han era tool for pulling people off ladders during sieges, or during 1 on 1 martial arts demonstrations. It's not a battlefield weapon used by soldiers in any sense. Sun Tzu would've used a polearm, dagger axe, or halberd.

The repeating crossbow is suppose to be recurve-composite design, and only existed a century after Sun Tzu died. Sun Tzu would've had a regular heavy crossbow. The non-recurve single stick of wood crossbow they have in the demonstrations is a toy with no penetration ability whatsoever.

Sun Tzu's jian is a taichi jian resembles those used by martial arts practitioners, and not accurate of the bronze swords of his era... The swords of his era were more like Roman gladius swords, but a bit longer.

But the new preview showed who the Sun Tzu experts are. At best, they seem like clueless acrobatics wushu practitioners (which explains why they used stuff like the tai chi sword and bs back scratcher). At worse, they're a bunch of spiky haired meatheads.
