Hopefully the animation quality will be better than the so call ova. Btw, there isn't much female fan service in the comic at all, well, maybe a tiny bit toward the current chapter.

But there are plenty of males, meaning a certain fanbase might just love this anime.

Unless they prepare food that is displayed in the show itself, I doubt it.

It's just a special, there's no relevance to the timeline of the actual Toriko series. The anime and manga specials are good ways to publicize Toriko, and OP is the only relevant Jump series I could see promoting Toriko (since they have similarities).

This. It was more so to do with One Piece and Toriko sharing the one hour block.

Kinda miffed that I couldn't see Melk 2 animated (which means I'll have to wait ages to now) but really happy with this first 'introductory' episode. The Toriko x One Piece world totally work with each other pretty easily. I like that.

Wow! This anime is Epic!

It's over the top food hunting madness! This is a must watch for me and yes just watching that guy eat and the end makes you feel hungry. I need some grub now.

I think Yonjiro from Baki the Grappler has met his match.

just watched 2. Look nice but they remove some content from manga from one of the igo chief, introduction of ten dream, various blood censored, but understandable since it is a morning show. From the opening we know we will get to at least the soup arc but it made me wonder how will they handle the bloodier fight.

I guess this was the real introductory ep. Had a feeling that they would end up eating it all. Poor Komatsu i wonder what he'll do about the dinner. I'm sure there plenty of other things he can cook.
