Bah, got distracted tonight and didn't have time to grab the episode til just now. Ah well, grabbing it now, hopefully will have time to watch before needing sleep.

What a fun episode. Yoshino's desperation to find a soeur, and then when she fails, her desperation to avoid Eriko, only to find her soeur where and how you would least expect, and the last moment too.

Some random thoughts as I watched episode 4...
I loved the little gasp by all the girls as Yumi stood up. It really shows Yoshino and us of course, just how popular little Yumi is among the 1st years. Almost felt bad for Yoshino as she was really trying to find a petit soeur, among girls who obviously are thrilled to be able to speak to their Idol Yumi. And Yumi of course as well who is feeling more then a little pressured by this.

I laughed when Yoshino made that one girl cry.

Yumi and Eriko...

Hey it looks like I was right. Mami did get a petit soeur, how cool. I was thinking that even if Yumi and Yoshino failed to find one at the tea party, that someone would. I was thinking it would have to be either Mami, Tsutako, or Katsura. Was kind of hoping for Tsutako actually, but Mami getting one is cool too. Hope we get introduced to her as well.

Best part though was that Eriko picked out Yoshino's soeur, before before Yoshino had even met her. Too bad shes a 3rd year middle school. Least she'll be available next year.

Next episode seems almost like filler, though its showing that girl from the tea party again. So many some more development there.

Looking forward to the subs again, and to next weeks episode as well.

The last two episodes have been really quite fun to watch. I was on pins and needles all week for this one to come out.

Holy crap, I feel like getting some pizza hut right now. How strange....


First half: Yumi harem. Laughed till it hurt a little. Hoo boy.

Second half: I have to admit that I was initially a little nervous after hearing that Nabatame Hitomi was going to do the voice of Nana. I know the Eriko/Nana connection is layed down rather thick at times, but I thought that casting would make it too glaringly obvious. But I was surprised how different two characters played by the same actress could sound. I was quite put at ease with the choice. Seiyuu really are something... （ ´ε ` ）

Another thing about the second half -- I was having a hard time paying attention to the dialogue due to the new additions to the OST that made their debut (?) this ep. Up until now, the BGM has mostly been things we've heard before, but the songs that were playing in the background during Yoshino and Nana's meeting and thereafter were really, really nice.

And on a different note, one thing that's been somewhat bothering me have been the next episode previews. They've been way too serious and unfunny lately. Where's the tsukkomi?

I haven't paid that much attention to the novels, but I was looking forward to seeing Nana, and I wasn't disappointed with her. I knew she was voiced by the same person as Eriko, but if I hadn't of known I would never have guessed.
With Yumi's fans, I felt a little bit awkward to watch, but in a funny kinda way >.> although the scene with her and Sachiko at the end, made me realise I do miss seeing them together, compared to the earlier seasons.

The next day after the tea party, one of the candidate soeurs barged into the door at the wrong time, complaining about her hair which caused her to be late for attendance... and Sachiko doesn't like latecomers to the Mansion. :lol:

This time, I'm greatly pleased. Dang right SUPERB!

Yay, Maria-sama is getting better and better! I was highly anticipating this episode, and overall very satisfied. There's a few scenes that are unfortunately dropped from the anime, but given the time constraints the animators have been doing a very good job.

Let's make it unanimous: great episode. I thought Yoshino seemed irresponsibly desperate in working that charade with Nana, but it was funny, and almost understandable, and Nana and the destiny part of it more than make up for any problems.

Let's not just say "seiyuu are really something" for NABATAME Hitomi playing both Eriko and Nana. Let's say: "Naba-sama is really something." She is. She is also one of the best-known of a group of seiyuus who pretend (?) to be gay in real life. She and Itou Shizuka (Rei) recently had a full wedding ceremony. To each other. There's info and pics in this post. Naba-sama debuted as Arcueid Brunestad in Tsukihime, and is also Nobue-oneesan in Ichigo Mashimaro, as well as having been Ryouko in Ryouko's Case File.

Speaking of seiyuus, I have made a page with pics of all the characters and their seiyuus. Also includes who is which Rose and who is her soeur, etc. Information that I can't keep straight, even if all of you can, lol. I haven't yet included info as to who are the new soeurs, which many of you know and others can now guess. Just for fun, here is an older group shot of most of the main cast, along with a head shot of Nabatame Hitomi, who is not in the group shot:

Wow! I wasn't expecting Yoshino to meet her potential soeur so soon- Arima Nana. To surprise me even more, someone who is still in middle school(?)!? Great, so Yoshino (and us, the viewers) have to wait a year or so until Nana is in first year? Or will Yoshino find other potential soeur(s)? Now it's getting interesting, especially, with the other new character introduced, Shouko Naitou.

Hmm, from the previews it looks like Yumi and Sachiko are going to what looks similar to Disneyland. I'm honored to be provided with Yumi x Sachiko fan service, but can they really afford to squeeze that in this season?

Looks like the Maria-sama Pizza Hut campaign will be back- Feb 9 to Mar 8. We might be seeing more pizza eating from the girls.

One thing I noticed from the preview, is Kashiwagi spending more time with Yuuki. Seeing that, I really hope they don't go the Yaoi route with him. I know a lot of girls love the boys love stuff, but I find it just gross. Let Yuuki be normal!

Actually that is one thing I admit that surprised me as well. I didn't think Yoshino would find a soeur at the tea party. I didn't think the story would go that smoothly or easily. But it surprised me that she found one at the Kendo tournament. I thought they would draw it out another episode or 2, and then thought she would find a 1st year. It didn't even occur to me that her soeur wouldn't be available til the next year. I did suspect that she would find hers before Yumi did though. Heh, while I guess thats still true, Yumi is going to have hers, while Yoshino has to wait.

Yoshino was lots of fun this episode, as always. I like how she can just keep changing her mind on what to do --- running away was a brilliant option. It's good that someone has appeared to fill in her petite sour role.

Yoshino makes girls cry --- that's expected. :P

Seeing Sei, Eriko and Youko picking out girls was a lot of fun. Those dirty old men.

Amusement part fun next week, and it looks like the Yoshino drama will continue. Yay.

Except for my slow computer. The Anime is good and the story for Ep 4 is excellent. I'm very surprised to see Touko and Kanako together though. I kinda notice the little change this season from the previous 3. Looks like there were a lot of jokes and funny scenes coming our way. But what I like the most on this episode was the priceless look on Sachiko. It shouts like "you don't belong here little girl" or "get out!". LOL I wonder, if she was normal she probably have dive down and kill the rookie. And here I thought Yumi was the most permeable one. Looks like she rubbed some charms on her Onee-sama.

Two words for this episode: Oh Yoshino...

They've already put a bit of emphasis on the similarities between Eriko and Nana, but whether giving them the same seiyuu really labours the point is a worthwhile question. I guess we'll find out in due time. The interesting, recent comparison was in Allison & Lillia, where Mizuki Nana voiced both of the title characters, which I thought came at a detriment, since it really stunted Lillia's capacity to forge an individual character. She was always kinda stuck in Allison's shadow, and because of that she came off as a less interesting and exciting version of Allison.

Yoshino really provided a lot of entertainment in this episode. She's really stubborn, yet she squirms a lot when she's against a wall. I loved her train of thought during this episode. She kept jumping to conclusions that were completely wrong, but she was so desperate to avoid losing to Eriko (I was amused that she referred to her as her "eternal rival") that she managed to convince herself that they weren't just plausible, but certain. It would have been much easier just to face up to things, but Yoshino fell into a trap that's pretty easy to fall into. I really sympathized with Yoshino and how she ran away from reality just to stubbornly keep face. I thought to myself "yes, I've done this in my younger and more foolish days".

Aaahahahahaa, Nana showing her uniform to Yoshino was gold. So many wrong associations XD. Apparently the way to score Yoshino is to hold up a rosario in a saint-ish pose while wearing a baggy jumper. Oh well

aaaand we get to see Yumi in a fashionable hairstyle next episode <3!
