Anime characters that would make the best allies in a zombie apocalypse

This thread was pretty much exactly what it says on the can- the best anime characters to be stuck in a zombie apocalypse with. Just to keep things interesting, character that are so powerful that zombies would be no threat to them whatsoever will not be allowed. Also, try to avoid characters that have faced zombies before.

Anyway, without further ado.


Mai Kawasumi (Kanon):

All of the sword skill of Saeko Busujima of Highschool of the Dead, without the liabilities of Saeko's low mental health. Mai would no doubt prove a valuable ally, not only for her skill with the sword, but also the

healing powers she displays, which, considering they cured her mother, it is possible they could even cure the zombie virus.

I suspect if I had Mai as my ally, I'd probably arm myself with my short sword and maybe a few molotovs, but let her cut a path through the zombie hordes to the nearest gun store (assuming Mai somehow ended up in my hometown). After I get a hold of firearm, I suspect I'd use to engage them at a distance while Mai keeps them from closing in.

Canaan (Self-titled series)

Admittedly Canaan might be borderline of being to powerful, with he superhuman speed and synesthesia that allows her to literally read enemies emotions (though this would be of little help in against zombies). But she can still be wounded by conventional means (i.e. bullets etc) so I'll allow her.

Anyway, Canaan is an expert shot with both her pistols and her sniper rifle and, if I gain her trust, she could provide me with a weapon- as she states she doesn't like automatics, likely that AK she keeps in her apartment. Another great thing about Canaan is that unlike so other "girls with guns" i.e. Revy from Black Lagoon, she wouldn't kill me on sight!

As for the girls

I'd choose Inner Moka from Rosario and Vampire. The girl's strong and fierce. No doubt that the zombies would run away the moment they see her.

Revy from Black Lagoon is my other option as well. She's awesome with her guns.

As for the guys

I'd pick Sebastian Michaelis from Kuroshitsuji. This gorgeous demon can eliminate an entire army of zombies. They'd take one look at him and run away in a blink of an eye. After he fights, he'll make me a nice cup of tea.

Yeah, Mai's a very good pick, and pretty much fits your conditions perfectly.

I'd probably go with Spike Spiegel for the complimentary gunman of my Zombie Survival Team.

Her much less intresting Key counterpart, Kanade is also a good example, since as that show suggests, is even more OP, and might be like the Terminator. Most regular attacks, such as bullets, bounce off her and she seems to be able to heal any injury. In addition, since she can casually come back from being thrown into molten lava, I think that's a pretty easy shoo-in.

And of course, can't mention Kanade without Yuki Nagato, who can seemingly do anything.

We also have Gilgamesh from the Fate series who could clear the world of such scum, and Bah-serker from Fate/Stay Night. His insane regenerative power ensures that the endless hordes of relatively weak zombies cannot stop him.

Of course, Homura would be an easy pick since...

Time stop, and undo ability in case of failure

The cast of Nanoha would be able to rid entire star systems of Zombies. Nanoha being the best eqipped, since her defense is stupidly overpowered, and her Starlight Breaker gets stronger over time. Though Signum's not be up to luster lately. With special mention to Fate, since she seems to be invincible while singing.

The PMMM girls were also some of my first thoughts here (partly since if I'm going to be stuck in a zombie nightmare world, it might be nice to be allied with cute girls with likable personalities ). However, I don't know if they break the rules or not.

Based on the Soul Gem reveal, I have my doubts that a normal zombie could kill a Puella Magi even if she just stood there and let the zombie bite into her head.

Plus, there's the fact that zombies don't drop grief seeds...

But if we suppose that a zombie can kill a Puella Magi, and you get a Grief Seed for every 100 zombies killed, I'd gladly take the main cast of PMMM as the ultimate anti-zombie squad.

Tomoyo Sakagami-- Although she's most likely not mortal in my heart, we've never seen Tomoyo tank a hit before, so I assume that she would not want to get hit. For the most part she works as a very fast attacker that is meant to draw the attention while picking them off. She could use some AOE damage from Kotomi's violin though. =p

Kitsurugu Emiya -- Same concept, though different type of way to seemingly get a speed boost. There's also his rival Kirei Kotomine, but given that he's just as likely to slice me apart with his knives, fuck no.

Char Aznable-- He manages to outwit a mobile suit ON FOOT and has survived numerous things that would have killed anything else. Furthermore, he may paint a mobile suit red, and recieve a 3x speed bonus. Just don't distract him with teenage girls.

Akagi-- Although Zombies are not afraid of mind games, he is effectively the anime's version of Chuck Norris. He would let the zombies bite them and for some reason find someone to make himself immune to it while casually beating someone in Mahjong. Barring supernatural feats, Akagi's extreme ability to plan ahead makes him an invaluable asset.

Shizuo Heiwajima (?)-- I place a question mark since he might cause too much collaterial damage.

Rei Ayanami-- Has hidden abilities, a sometimes functioning mecha, and...

Suzumiya Haruhi.

One snap of the fingers. The zombies are gone. Of course, that's presuming her awareness of her powers.

OK OK. If the zombies piss her off - and likely they will -- she'll inadvertently wipe 'em out. Even then, she'll make the zombie encounters fun, by being initially very enthusiastic about the whole zombie thing.

Who am I kidding? With Haruhi - I'm a dead man.

Nagato Yuki.

Count on her to hold off the zombies... until Haruhi does wipe 'em out.

The whole SSS crew (Angel Beats) - incl. Kanade

They already fought some zombie-like things -- in whatever afterlife they're in.

Rias Gremory (High School DXD)

Chances are -- she'd be in command of the zombies. Maybe, with these devil powers of hers. I could be wrong here.

The Strike Witches

Magic. Girls flying. So guess what? Up in the air - the zombies can get them and can easily pick off the zombies.

Need an airbase? Well, I haven't watched Girls n Panzer yet to see if they're reliable on the ground. Otherwise, have everyone else listed guarding the base.

I left out Yuno because I took into account both combat ability and mental stability- some who would snap and try to cut your throat would make a poor ally!
