I bought Boogiepop Phantom Ultra last week on eBay for $60 including shipping (though a bit used) and I hope I made the right decision. I heard lots of raves about BP and saying how most prefer it over Lain. Well, I haven't watched either but I thought it'd be cool to get a psycho-thriller anime and I couldn't resist the price. And the electronica stuff I heard from its soundtrack sounds right up my alley. Is it worth that price?

Well, it's not as good as Lain, but it's still great.

Am I the only person here who thought "British Petroleum" with the title thread "BP" + "investment?"

I'm actually going to say that it was not a good investment. Not because Boogiepop isn't good, but from a financial aspect:

Yeah, that's right, The Right Stuf has it on sale this week for $33 bucks... ALWAYS check the price you can get from Right Stuf first, as they tend to have some great deals. I mean, a few weeks ago they were selling all of Gasaraki for $30!! All 8 freakin' disks IN THE BOX!!
