We both don't know what exactly is the definition of a "good family" in hell here but I think it's safe to assume that the scythe is a big deal simply because, before Haqua, it's pretty much exclusive to the nobles and simply being "well off" does not cut it.

Also this talk about Akari being a noble is pretty much a counterpoint for Elsie being her sister. Let's say that they are sisters and they are from a really rich family... so a rich girl like Elsie has been a janitor of 300 years? What happened to their connections and money?

There is compromise I can think of.

Elsee is really an illegitimate child. But it didn't matter to Akari/Rimuel.

Gender ratio being skewed towards women it is not inconceivable that a guy could fool around.

Harsher in hindsight I know given that Keima's mom practically adopted Elsee thinking she is an abandoned child of her husband outside marriage.

Perhaps Akari's scythe of testament was stolen, borrowed, or gifted from the devil who originally earned it. It's too early to speculate on such things, but I don't think the fact that Elsie never saw Akari during her arc is insignificant.

Your guesses are a little unthinkable since stolen is obviously a crime and who would actually lend someone of a lower social status their nobility proof unless the borrower is also of the same status(a noble blood) for the noble born takes pride on their status. As for given/gifted....only case where we see a scythe is gifted to someone is Dokuro's scythe to Haqua after she released Haqua from prison(although it's not clear whether it's actually Dokuro's or Haqua's but it's safe to assume that it's Dokuro's since she also had one).

Like Dokuro, she was probably reborn the same way as Nikaido or her body got cursed. That's why she lends her powers to Nikaido, because her body is still immature and can't contain all of her powers back in her prime

Hmmm turns out maybe!Elsie's sister has a scythe of testament that has the same broken tine as Akari. Intrestingly that was about the only thing she could identify her by. So your points are losing credibility.

Urara doesn't even know who Keima is. As far as she knows, she really did meet an alien. There's also the problem of her memory being fuzzy since she was possessed by a Weiss.

That is why she supposedly wants to become an astronaut. She wants to look for the guy who was by her side back then. It's clear she thought Keima was familiar since she was staring at him in class, but not enough to recognize exactly who he is.
