Fruitless but so good...
I wanted to see more Yellow this year. There will be a second season?, because the last episode seems to present a new character.
Please, more Tamaki, Miya-miya, Saya and Azuma too...

Thank you for correcting.

Back to the match, unless Kirino fans make a mad voting dash at the last hours.
Hina already have this match in the bag.

Despite the ending, there are no plans for a second season. Pity, Tamaki and Kirino did so well, and they only got to participate in one year.

Smaller numbers for the non-KyoAni match. Well, shit.

Also, congratulations Hina for winning the final. Now, I hope she can win this exhibition match against Tsukasa.

I see what you did there. Hina winning two "finals" in the same year, eh?

There it is again. Go download the scanlations for chapters 91,93,96-98 of Hayate the Combat Butler if you don't care to read the whole thing. You won't get the whole characterization, but it's better than nothing.

Kirino put up a decent fight. Bamboo Blade can hold their heads up high.

Saimoe 2008: Revenge

Kagami beat Tomoyo, who beat Miyako, who beat Rena.
Hinagiku beat Kirino, who beat Luna.

Yes, I kinda just noticed.

I would be expecting people making posters of Furukawa/Higagiku vs Hiiragi/Hiiragi just because the smell of election partisanship is thick in the air (pretty obvious which election at that too). I turned into one apathetic voter that lost faith in the Saimoe process thou. One final check and balance to an otherwise KyoAni sweep in Hinagiku? Who knows...

Interesting to note that Hina got the lowest vote total out of all the semi-finalists, despite her being expected to rape Kirino. Both Hiiragi sisters were the only participants to break 1000 votes in their matches. Despite all the KyoAni hate, the one match in the quarter-finals without a KyoAni character gets the least amount of total votes. Also, Kirino got a low vote total despite being Bamboo Blade's last stand and a good candidate for tactical votes.

What can we derive from this information? Could Hina fans just have been complacent and not bothered to vote for her? Maybe they didn't want to beat Kirino too badly so as to not garner too much attention to Hina? Nobody cares about Hina/Kirino? Voters raged and abandoned Saimoe after Tsukasa won? We will find out with Tsukasa Vs Hina.

Hina's vistory is certainly a nice way to wrap up the quarterfinals.
Will support Hina all the way now up to the end, no more siding with any other girl from here on.
