It's because making Chifuyu see the likable points about Gentarou is really easy. He's everything most men around her aren't. Gentarou meets her and she immediately establishes the order of things. He can probably register that she's hot... but she already established it early on that she's the mature untouchable adult. So logically the only way to negate this effect is if he can see Chifuyu as... cute.

Basically I need to make it so that Gentarou can see that "Yes, you can probably score with this girl if you actually gave it a chance."

Hence I already propose the alternative, gentarou fall for her first, she followed suit (though she got attraction earlier, she dismiss it as platonic/sisterly feeling).

Considering Gentarou's established appreciation for friendship (even the most unlikely ones), chances he saw Chifuyu's determination to protect Ichika (who most people agreed, excessive but justified) as cute and impressive.

Well I already took that into account, Gentarou falling in love first scenario. But at the start, wouldn't it be very much like Chifuyu to make it clear to him that she's not interested? Gentarou can be a persistent idiot but his first meeting with her elicits more attraction than love at first sight, so he'd back down once she makes herself clear.

Can you name any kind of firearm not used by canon characters so far? With the exception of Wolf (which use ALL kind of weapon), I want diversity amongst the fanon machines.

For extra information just in case anybody is curious enough:

Dissociative identity disorder suffer can't remember the event at all. The memory is completely blank because their mind block out the event completely.

How can he know what had happened in a room when he wasn't in the room in the first place?

An analogy:

Think of memory as history record and you are a historian:

Why Dissociative identity disorder is called multiple personality disorder?

The Suffer is essentially two person/historian doing the history recording. Things/events get loss due to lack of communication between the two of them since both are unaware of each other.

Since it doesn't really matter much..... Berserker, sharp things, coming towards you is already a bad enough combo.

Though if you add a little coldness in the latter... it might be more scary.....(Yandere feel)

Edit: You know what is scarier?

A beserking person slicing and dicing everything while smiling cutey (like Kyube) without shouting/ talk politely on what he plan to do with your body with a knife in great details.

This is for when Tsurugi goes RAEG and starts slicing the Carnage apart almost effortlessly while kicking away/ignoring the Minerva Pallas until she's done dicing the assault unit.

In general, the sreaming stark raving mad version scares everyone. The latter will scare the shit out of anyone who dares stand in their path, it's one of those situations where the way they look at you is more past you than anything and you feel inconsequential within this universe :|

Recounting the previous steps in the Chifuyu Gentarou relationship...

Chifuyu gets 7 moments where she likes Genta more...

Genta only has around 2 of them...

so frustrating.

EDIT: amongst the 8 steps in the relationship. The time Gentarou almost dies and the whole thing with the bar are the only two times I can imagine him falling for Chifu... like really falling for her.

Long-ass scene:

Spoiler for Raging Tsurugi:

Loud noises of straining metals shatter the silent atmosphere as the Carnage slowly gets back on its feet. Despite missing its entire right arm and its left hand, the Carnage unit still remains functional with Gerald looking down onto them from the cockpit while the IS pilots aside from Cecilia point their respective weapons at the towering armor unit.

“An utter fool to the bitter end… If only he knew better.”

“…bastard.” Says Tsurugi.

The IS pilots turn to her as she slowly raises her head. Within the Arete’s helmet, she rolls her eyes towards the Carnage with a stern frown.

“Huh… What do you even know? You’re just another fool like him that’s blinded from the apparent lies and conspiracy—”

“Shut it.”

Gerald cringes upon hearing her contemptuous tone as she hands Inami over to Cecilia who takes him in her arms and nods firmly.

“Tsurugi…”

“Get him to Doc. I’ll finish this fight in his place…”

“…I understand.”

Tsurugi nods with a small smile and turns to the Carnage while Cecilia carries Inami and flies to the Academy’s secondary medical shelter.

“…About time I make an example out of someone who dares to hurt Ina-kun.”

“Fool… You’re no different from that boy. I’ll put you down as well!”

“Try me.” She says and immediately boosts towards the Carnage while drawing out her beam saber hilt.

The interface within the Arete’s helmet fizzles as several golden lines streak across while a similarly golden [Karin Nova] prompt fades in on the interface. Panel lines across the Arete battle-armor glow in blinding ember light which reflects Tsurugi’s overwhelming levels of raging anger waiting to be unleashed at a moment’s notice.

“Prism saber, Tachyon mode.”

She clenches her grip on the hilt as panels shift open all over the Arete while the revealed heat emitters swiftly dispel layers of charged particles around the battle-armor. The hilt then deploys a concentrated ember energy blade which manifests in form of a crystalline arrowhead and shines brighter as all the charged particles around the Arete gets channeled into the blade, exponentially augmenting its cutting power.

Gerald brings up the Carnage’s left forelimb to fire its rockets but Tsurugi moves aside and thrusts the beam saber into it. She drags the saber along the forelimb’s length and cleaves it in half long with the stored rockets which overload and blows up the entire forelimb.

“Bring it!” He yells and jumps out of the Carnage’s cockpit towards the Arete while deploying beam blades from the Minerva Pallas’ forearms.

Tsurugi breaks a smirk and executes a brief emergency thrust forward then catches Gerald by the neck with her left hand.

“Guuk…!”

She throws him back into the Carnage’s cockpit then raises the beam saber over her head. Her smirk grows into a wide grin as she swings the saber down hard onto the cockpit. Gerald’s eyes widen in terror as he watches the shining energy blade descend upon him then jumps out of the cockpit. The searing blade chips off a piece off his left shoulder armor and slices into the Carnage whereby Tsurugi pushes the saber hilt down the assault unit’s body.

*ZIIIING*

Tsurugi lands with a heavy thud as the energy blade breaks out from below the Carnage’s waist. Gerald lands a short distance away behind the assault unit and stares in horror at the vertical white-hot slice mark separating the left and right halves of the Carnage. He sees Tsurugi, down on a knee with the saber held in front, and looks to his damaged left shoulder armor.

“She almost got me… Was she really trying to—?”

Straining metal noises rob his attention as he looks to the Carnage which separates along the slice mark and falls apart. The two halves topple towards different directions while breaking off from the upper leg joints below the waistline. Upon crashing onto the ground, the cleaved body breaks from the waist itself along with countless pieces of internal frame and machinery spilling out from where the joints broke off.

Gerald cringes at the sight of the Carnage falling apart into a pile of common scrap while Tsurugi slowly walks through the remains with the saber still deployed and cutting through every pieces of scrap it comes into contact with.

“Hehehe… Not so superior without your assault unit now, are you?” She says followed by another soft giggle.

“Think again…!”

The Minerva Pallas’ thrusters expel a surge of boost and sends Gerald charging directly towards the Arete. As he closes in, he thrusts his right arm towards her, who steps aside and releases the saber. She catches his forearm and crushes the energy blade’s emitter in her grip. He pushes her away and raises his left arm then jumps towards her while swinging the energy arm blade down.

“I still have one more!”

Tsurugi extends her right hand and catches his forelimb then thrusts her helmet into his.

*KTANG*

Gerald briefly phases from the impact while she exploits the chance and executes a quick roundhouse kick into his chest which knocks him backwards then falls to the ground. She jumps onto him before he could recover then stomps her right foot onto his left forearm which crushes the beam blade emitter on it.

“G’AAAAH! Why you…!”

He swings his right foot up and kicks her off then activates the thrusters, pushing him up and back on his feet. With fists clenched, he rushes towards Tsurugi and throws a punch using his right hand.

“Perfect.”

She dodges the punch and wraps her left arm around his right arm, trapping it behind her back. Gerald tries to pull his arm away but to no effect then sees her raising her right fist. She promptly thrusts her fist into the Minerva Pallas’ helmet and repeatedly punches it mercilessly.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

The holographic visor in the Minerva Pallas’ helmet fizzles in static as the helmet’s integrity deteriorates at each punch while Gerald phases again from the repetitive punching.

“Die… Die…! DIE!”

*CLANG*

Upon her umpteenth punch, the Minerva Pallas’ helmet breaks apart and uncovers Gerald’s head as he gets knocked out cold. The broken helmet prompts her to release his right arm and let him fall to the ground while the Arete’s heat emitters cease dispelling charged particles.

Spoiler for synopsis:

Why can Ichika pilot an IS even though he's male? Why is it that only women can pilot IS? Tabane and Chifuyu don't know why, but what if they actually knew but were afraid of the truth?

In this alternative reality, Ichika isn't human. By technicality, he exists. Ichika is the White Knight. On that one summer's day, that tragedy was where it all began. That day the Shinonono dojo was silent, save for the cries of crickets and a little girl's pleas for the boy she sparred with to wake up. But despite her calls he would not wake, her mind forcing itself not to mind the building pool of blood around his head.

Fast forward a few years, Ichika is kidnapped by Phantom Task. Chifuyu comes to his rescue, but they've already done what they wanted to accomplish, the collection oif DNA samples from Orimuras. They realize an abnormality with the DNA strands within Ichika.

Another few years, Ichika pilots the IS and finds himself with a spot on the enrollment lists of ISA. He lives his school life, unknowing of the powers outside that have taken interest in him. Particularly, two prominent figures in the underbelly of business regarding IS, Phantom Task and, the creator of IS, Shinonono Tabane.

Spoiler for character list:

Shinonono Houki: Ichika's first childhood friend. Despite the importance of the past to her, she experiences lapses in memory and inexplicable bouts of anger when reminiscing.

Cecilia Alcott: Cannot accept the prestige given to Ichika as the first male pilot. Her facade is of a cold aloof noble, but she's actually just a mouthy spoiled child. She despises men. But she notes that she doesn't hate Ichika and only looks down on him like most people. This confuses her since she's very sensitive to the presence of men.

Rin: Ichika's second childhood friend. A bratty girl with a stubborn attitude. She finds herself drawn to Ichika as he continuously seems to show up when she's in trouble. From punching a bully in the face in the classroom to helping her out of an alleyway fight she'd acquiesced to. She hates it that an unrelated person is always helping her out. Ichika merely introduces himself and tells her that "there, we're acquaintances. Now we're related. that should be fine right?"

Charlotte: a loyal spy for the Dunois. Suffering persecution for being a child from outside, her alliegance stays with them. If only because she knows her father loves her dearly in his own detatched way. When she finds out the truth about Ichika through her investigations, she falls into an awkward zone around Ichika, not knowing how to interact with him but still managing a friendly outter facade.

Laura: A soldier brought over to ISA as representative candidate of germany. However her appearance is unlike what is initially thought. She is actually a supersoldier whose place in the army has become of little value. She is now treated purely as a lab rat and the cadidate title is only on paper. She is even treated as part of the IS with the true pilot and candidate being her handler and guardian, Clarissa Harfouch. Laura notices the truth about Ichika and sees him as a threat, someone who can take her place.

Tatenashi: A self proclaimed Mysterious lady that leads a Mysterious Organization. Ichika just calls her crazy, especially after she declares her intention of "possessing" him. She has skills to back those claims up though. She seems to know about Ichika's condition.

Kanzashi: A female otaku with far too much time on her hands. Unlike her sister, she's very straightforward. Even when she's hiding something, you can easily tell that she's trying not to tell you anything. Unlike the whimsical older sister, she's very one tracked and when a contradiction appears her brain basically burns out. Her being an otaku is both her escape from the reality that her sister's talent that far outstrips hers as well as a way to relax from complicated contradictions. She tends to refer to Ichika as her "White Knight"

Tabane: Creator of IS, sister of Shinonono Houki. She transported Ichika's mind into the frame of White Knight. Making him not human, but an IS in human form. She is intrigued by the fact he can pilot an IS.

Chifuyu: Protective older sister of Ichika, and dreads the day when the truth of his existence is revealed.
