It's pretty much the light novel as someone as said before. I'm trying to figure out what Mai and Natsuki were talking about. I can't understand what they're really saying, aside from Natsuki being surprised to see Mai and something involving clubs. I believe Mai did say something about Natsuki and the Seto Kaichou-san, which made my ears perk up. And what was Mai dragging along? It sounded kind of heavy. Maybe it's related to that short manga.

There's also a part with Natsuki and Shizuru that screams ShizNat to me. Shizuru seems to have that teasing tone in her voice and she even says "ikezu". Why do I get the feeling that there's going to be a Shizuru's Prelude, similiar to how Natsuki had one in Mai-Hime? Not like that'd be a bad thing because I'm curious about what took place those few years before Mayo arrived.

Haha, a few things remind me of the Sentai Ranger parody in the bonus track of the second Mai-Hime drama CD. xD;

One last thing. In the first Destiny drama CD, did Haruka say that Mai was Tate's girlfriend? It felt like that and my knowledge of the language is non-existant, rofl.

I believe the 'heavy' sound you heard with Mai was her traveling through the sewer grates...XD She's suppose to be 'incognito' but she's doing a horrible job. I think she's doing her own background research on what's happening at the school. It's like she's on Natsuki's side of things but doesn't want to be caught up in the drama so she stays away. And her saying 'Nao~chan' XD
Here's hoping that Tate and Reito comes back too...somehow. Someone needs to handle the Shizuru powerhouse.
I haven't gotten to the first Destiny Drama CD yet...maybe in time.

^ there was supposed to be a manga, but we haven't heard anything from it if I recall. I thought someone said it was supposed to be around 90 pages long and it was scheduled to be released sometime at the end of October....

The only manga thing we've seen is the groping adventure. Lmfao, Nao-chan, lmao.

Oh, thanks, rofl. I forgot she was sneaking around and.... ew, sewers. I really miss Mai-chan. I was watching Xenoglossia and hearing Mai's voice come out of Ritsuko made me want to watch some old episodes of Mai-Hime.

The commercials and the part where the cast talks in the second drama CD amuse me so. It's so funny when it's Naomi Shindo's turn and everyone says DOSU. xD!

He was mentioned but that was it - an afterthought. The only guy to make a splash in the novel so far has been the school head - Reito's brother. In the drama CD, it was Takeda back in action after Natsuki. It's always amusing to hear him, especially when he gets pwned by Mayo later on in it.

I'm really curious about Shion's description of Mai and how they actually related her to the drama CD story since she's really not suppose to be around in the novel's version... -.-

As for the manga, Mai gets to show off her skillz - she's a competent fighter now and doesn't shrik from it like she used to. I find it interesting that Natsuki didn't once even try to help Mai out at all. Either she knew Mai could handle four guys, or she was just lazy. She's above Shion's combat ability, that much I can tell but I doubt if they'll make her to be near Kaichou's level.

Although Nagi and Nao working together still scares me. o.o

Poor Tate, probably shafted again. If there was a choice between him and Sergei, I'd go with Tate. >w>; I wonder if Reito actually does something in the novel, since he is the brother of the school head and all. Well, aside from being able to annoy Haruka just by saying "Now, now". -chuckle-

Takeda shouting "KUGA!" when Natsuki is telling Mayo, assuming the novel bit is placed here, that they don't actually kill people was definitely the best part of him showing up for me. Harhar, poor Takeda-kun.

Lol, now you've got me thinking about a Mai versus Shizuru showdown, something I wish could have happened in Mai-Hime. I mean really, Kiyohime seemed to be able to stop Kagutsuchi in that one episode, but then I need to remind myself that this is Destiny. Who actually would be able to take her on, aside from the dark Mayo and possibly a scantily clad Natsuki? -winks at the latter suggestion-

Yeah, I'm getting a little confused with the whole drama CD, manga and novel thing. Maybe they're planning to bring them together in the future with something to milk more money off us. -cough-

-sigh- I just wanna hear/read something new involving Destiny. I feel cliffhungover'd, like the ending of the first season of Code Geass. Why Sunrise, whyyyyyyyyy~?

Yamibo doesn't like me or my comp so I had a very good friend send me the two chapters with Mai in it. But I haven't seen translations for it though...

Destiny's suppose to be Shion's and Mayo's story so I'll have to let it be for now...but so far, they haven't impressed me very much. I guess it's because the story has too many notable characters in it - everyone has their favorites and it's hard to give that many characters plot time.

I need translations...hurry...

Manga spoilers, the continuation. reference taken from the scanlated version of part 2 at yamibo.com. Part 1 can be found at page 11 of this thread.

Spoiler for Manga spoilers for part 2 (END):

-The first page is another parody of stereotypical detective stories, with Shion under a spotlight against a black background. Some "last time on this show..." (<- not literally) recollections, which probably would be less perverted-sounding if she wasn't going on about how she was groping people's boobs
-Still in the stereotypical detective story mode, Shion goes "Hannin wa Tokiha Mai-san!! Anata desu!!" (rough tl: The culprit is you!! Tokiha Mai-san!!), where Mai responds with her trademark "Haiiii---i?!" Golden...until Shion spoils the moment by poking Mai's chest while saying "the proof is here'. wth.
-Mai identifies the technique used as psychometry, and asks if Shion is a spy sent by the Gakuenchou, thereby also revealing herself. Shion replies that she is no one's messenger/envoy and is only doing so to help a friend that has been wrongly accused.
-At this, Mai says, "Friend...huh? Both of you must be good people" (very rough meaning)...before attempting to make her getaway.
-Shion stops Mai, and it appears that a fight will break out until Natsuki appears and says, "You still like to wear stripe patterns eh, Mai" (referring to her underwear...why the heck does the Destiny staff like the cast's underwear so much?!)
-Mai asks, "What? Don't tell me you know this chest-grabbing maniac molester?" to which Natsuki replies, "So says you, who's floating in midair with underwear exposed."
-"At least it's better than someone wearing nothing" <-lawliepop!
-Natsuki asks Mai what she has been up to, having been MIA all this time. Shion then exposes (?) that she's been covertly investigating the higher-ups of the school and took something important of Gakuenchou's the night before.
-"Ne--- Natsuki, who's this girl?" "Convenient fellow/slave ( at latter), isn't it?"
-Natsuki says that she has also noticed that the Gakuenchou seems to have some sort of secret, and asks if that has any relation to the thing Mai took.
-While Mai hesitates on an answer, Shion says that she's already had the feeling previously that the whole incident may be a trap, and we see a hidden surveillance camera sending a live feed to where the Gakuenchou is at.
-The Gakuenchou says that his original intention was to have Shion play the part of a hunting dog to get Mai out, but it seems that something as good as that can't possibly happen. He then turns to these shadowy figures and tells them that it's their turn to make an appearance.
-Mayo wakes up and recollects that she'd been grilled through the night. She tears up again, saying everyone is awful (hidoi), that she hsn't done anything, is sleepy, Shion is in danger...she then goes "eh?" Apparently she wasn't aware why/how she'd said that last part.
-Haruka wakes up to see Mayo gone, and says "脱肛（anal prolapse)...?" Yukino, still sleeping, corrects that it's "脱走 (fled)"...
-At the scene once again. Shion says that this was all the Gakuenchou's trap and he'd only been using investigation as an excuse to find Mai. Natsuki replies, "I see, it does sound like something that tako-head would think of." Mai says, "Well then, before the octopus' tentacles are stretched..."
-According to Shion, it appears to be too late for that, and we see why as guys wearing ANBU masks appear.
-Natsuki tells Mai to run away as their target is her, Mai however says that she doesn't dislike this either. She then asks Shion what she will do, Shion replies, "Fight, of course." Mai asks if it is for a friend, Shion tells her that she doesn't dislike it too (using Mai's previous words).
-Mai heads in first, and we get to see how dangerous her abilities are in battle (her previous display with Shion was more for distraction).
-Some hetare-Natsuki later, Shion gets hit from behind by a brick and collapses. The ANBU guy that sent it then attacks with quite a few of those flying at her.
-Once again, Mayo appears in the nick of time and reflects the bricks back at ANBU guy, leaving behind a huge hole in the path.
-The girls leave. Mai comments on the way back that it's good to investigate for a friend's sake. Natsuki says in reply that a large commotion was caused in school and there was quite a bit of trouble. Mayo asks after Shion's back injury, Shion tells her that it's OK.
-Mayo then says that it's the first time she's seen such an expression on Natsuki's face, probably because of Mai. She adds that they must be very close friends, but she's seen such an expression before as well, and that Shion has that same expression. <-v.v.poor phrasing |||0rz
-Natsuki tells Mayo to go back after sending off Mai because she doesn't want to get involved with the Student Council, which doesn't know of the situation.
-We finally get to see what it was that Mai stole from Kanzaki...a wig, and what looks like the standard uniform...(ikka: is he secretly masquerading as Reito to spy on the student council?!...nah. Anyway, Reito's far more good-looking than him, so it'd be seen through instantly. lol)
-"...What's it for?" "I have no idea either." Shion's -_- face is hilarious also.
-Haruka (+Yukino and underlings) make a grand (?) and loud appearance from the bushes at this point, complete with ultra-funny puns. It defies ikka's standard of translation, but...xDDD *tears of laughter*
-Mai flies off, leaving behind the mess she made and Natsuki exclaiming, "Uwaa, that was sneaky, Mai!" A lot more funny when seen with one's own eyes.
-As should be expected, Haruka gives the order to "get them"...wait, why is Yukino wearing a ^ヮ^ face?!...anyway, it more or less ends with Shion taking Mayo's outstretched hands and running off into the sunset. Or something.
-Nao with towels as padded bra: WTF And why present herself before Shizuru, huh...*mind goes wild*
-Shizuru's response to the above: "A girl's hardworking form is beautiful, naa."
-Translation for the sidebar of the final page: "Truly...truly, we should take our hats off to Nao-san's aspiring spirit..."

Hey all, just wondering if there is takumi in the mai-otome series or mai hime destiny novel book. I only watch the mai hime series because of mai's relationship with takumi, so since mai otome was different, didn't really watch it.

He does appear later on in Otome, but his role is significantly reduced in comparison. I don't even think Mai ever really talked about Takumi, just the other way around in that one episode.

I don't recall him appearing in the five translated chapters of the novel, either. Eh, Mai was barely in the second drama CD and that side-story comic.
