Maybe it's because I lowered by expectations upon hearing it's done by JC Staff that I actually like what I see for the first episode, swiftly covering the first two chapters of volume 1 in no time.

When Louise makes a threat, she usually stammers in shock or jealously, if Saiga's witty enough, he could have a chance of calming her down. But when Taiga makes a threat, it's icy cold it sends shivers down Ryuji's spine, Ryuji can only beg for mercy and pray to hope. Way to go, Kugimiya.

Hocchan, well, what else to expect from Hocchan as Minori? The ED song sung by her is catchy.

I always thought Yasuko's hair was brownish, I never expected it to be so bright blonde.

Now that the anime's started, if you're interested, check out the novels, which are being painstakingly translated as we speak.

I had no expectations of this due to the fact I have never read the light novels. However this suprised me greatly, I really quite enjoyed it. Got no idea where the story will lead from here, however I will probably stick along for the ride.

I didn't like Minori's voice, but in general, I love Horie Yui's voice/songs (like Sister Princess's OP or Inukami').

Louise clone? Shana clone? Nagi clone? No, when the girl appeared on my screen, I felt like screaming Chiaki Minami. Seriously, the palmtop tiger looks exactly the princess without ahoge while it's also helped by that I don't feel much normal Rie Kugumiya in this one (I'm not very sensitive to voice though).

Decent start, hope they can keep quality through the whole thing.

You won't get the same feeling if you have read the manga

(Well, ofc she has to tell Ryu to "Urusai" and start addressing him as "inu!" if that gives enough of a hint).

But thankgod, if anyone, that K Rie didn't use her usual loli voice...thankgod.

A nice start to the series but I know that it won't be anything outstanding (based on the original sources anyway).

Nice character designs though...except for the "chicken"

Well it seems that gg has given release to the first episode of this serie.

Someone please download it and comment on how good they are, I'm busy downloading a whole bunch of other episodes xD

But judging on how good they were doing Code Geass, I assume they're at least not bad.

Isn't that kind of pointless to ask then? gg was releasing plenty of other series / single episodes while working on Code Geass R2 you know, like Antique Bakery, Macross F, Soul Eater, and Zettai Karen Children, and all of them apart from the last were 100% serious subs with good ratings on anidb (re ZTC: episode 19 was gg's sole release for that series, and the only "flaw" was that they liberally translated some gangster shit into a troll on Chihiro)

And speaking of Chihiro, I don't like them for not subbing ToLoveRu's karaoke xD. But that's just me. Anyways, be downloading now I guess.

I must say the raws gave me a very good impression. Animation and voicing are excellent. And adaptation decay has been kept to a minimum...

Now downloading the subs (thanks to the people from gg for their work!)

On a side note, I created a a group centered around the Tiger, but also including the Dragon and the rest of the cast (for I am fond of all the characters so far!)

Lets gather!

NB: I hope I didn't made it to spoilerish for those who are not reading the nvel nor the manga.

I commented on looks not characteristics.

I started this series with manga and read novels some time later, but only up to vol 3 or 4 and stopped. Don't take my words as a negative comment on novels, it's just very rare that I can read light novels over 3 vols and still keep a good interest, except only 9S, Kure-nai, Suzumiya Haruhi, Spice and Wolf, and maybe Full Metal Panic to date.

Sub is out? That's quick. Everyone should thank the charm of Rie Kugumiya's moe loli.
