Kuesu surviving was great. I was far less pleased by the rest of the fight in ch 63 and the consequences. Yuuto finally manning up and becoming someone without mercy to his enemies is fine, but it still felt horribly jarring and I fear he can no longer claim to his former reputation of being kind to a fault and making friends of his enemies. Well, not unless another Deus ex machina is pulled. Also,

Y'know, considering the thoughts that went through Yuuto's head when Kuesu "died", I more than half suspect that her death was planned- after all, from almost Day 1, she's been trying to get him to really awaken with him Demon Slaying abilities

On the topic of him being a nice guy... oh, he can still be a nice guy, it's just that if you mess with any of his harem- err, friends he'll go Nana Shiki mode on you.

Since the beginning I kinda expected him to get out of his "nice-guy" role, it was just required in the story, unless the author really want to make it so his harem is the one doing all the fighting while he's at the back being "nice" >_>

I think Yuuto will be happy and mad if she did .....well lets call it "Faking her death".
Happy she is Alive but angry if it was just a way to awaken his power and (if he has any) desire to slay demons.
