It took pretty much a year. Graduations usually take place in march and the events in the last episodes happened after valentine.

Question:
Spoiler for Toradora EP25 question:
well the graduation of High School Students in Japan is on 3rd year..
when Taiga ran away they were still on the 2nd year..
so it took a whole year for them to reunite

1 year in the anime. it's just 2 months in the novel, and i think it makes much more sense.

when Minorin slapped Ryuuji? They're in second year at that time .. not third year .. and about Ryuuji and friends going emo .. they practiacally realized that Taiga is strong enough to carry herself, and most of all Ryuuji believes in Taiga .. As Minori said "Just like that star, Taiga is strong enough even though by herself" or something like that

It ended when they have already graduated from High School, as I've said from my last post 3rd Year is the graduating year of High School-ers in Japan. Hope I answered your questions ..

While the anime probably ended as the author originally planned, she changed it and in the novel she comes back at the start of their third year. In exchange for her helping care for her baby (sister I think) her mother let her come back to school there.

Toradora was originally a light novel series, the only real end is the one in the novels, although the anime's ending was basically the same.

Aye, the original source material is a light novel series... which naturally has the kanon ending that the anime series tracked. There is a PSP which reworks the material for a multiple alternative harem ending model.

Yeah there's no movie release, and I can't see them making an OVA considering the anime ended the story. Some might hope for a "girl only ending" similar to Clannad but the PSP game isn't really canon.

There is enough spin-off novel material for an OVA or two or three, but not enough for another series. I would love to see an OVA of the novel version of "The Legend of the Palmtop Tiger of Happiness " followed by the "Legend of the Black Tomcat of Misfortune." Of course, the spin-offs don't add to the ending since they all take place during the time covered by the anime.
