Ellifeedn is correct. Japan are saying that the One Piece x Toriko crossover is the first episode of the series.

I can deal with it. But up until now, I didn't even know about it.

I guessed. You need to update your sig with your Spring shows.

6 is pretty good too, too bad they modify some stuff for unknown reason. Btw, is there truly necessary to remove all blood from a sunday morning show? It felt like playing snes mortal kombat lol.

It airs right before One Piece on the same station, and one piece is filled with blood.

So you should think a bit more about maybe why this show is so much more PG-ified.
Consider the desires of the people funding and selling it, and the "mistakes" they may have learned from in the past.

Maybe because Toriko's blood demonstrations are more graphic then? I mean, we didn't get to see some fine Galala crocodile sinews getting ripped apart in a fountain of blood, but it's not the same as Luffy or Usopp oozing blood out of every pore in their body. Honestly though, I'll just never understand censorship, anything beyond cursing and gore just makes my eyes roll. Remember Sanji's lollipops? And yet Toriko features intravenous administration of the devil snake's drugs! ...ok, bad argument, but still :P

The pacing was all over the place in episode 6, though the great music placement made up for it. Starting my favourite arc next week, so i can't wait for that.

As mentioned, i thought the pacing was a bit fast in this episode, though saying that, it covered a decent amount of material. I guess the director doesn't want a lot of time spent on explanations because this adaptation is obviously aimed at a younger audience, so it needs to appeal to them. I'm fine with that i guess, because there wasn't one part of this episode where i didn't enjoy it.

About time Toriko's attire changed. It's been pretty annoying how the anime only had him wearing the orange outfit up until now.

Also, it's pretty crazy to believe that we're only at episode 7, and we're upto chapter 23 of the manga.

Kind of wish they had kept the part with the filler girl shorter to keep more of the manga stuff in. I can never understand adding filler in while cutting out manga material.

The censor is getting stupid... come on, Detective Conan is a sunday morning show and even it have blood. Censoring it for younger children is fine but keep it in realm of reality. Blood "should" show when a giant laser beam shoot at you.

I could have accepted the laser beam (sealing the wound via burns) but the stab through the gut was pretty bad.
