Speedwagon might be a Jojo fanboy, but he's the best damn fanboy there ever was.

The episode did not disappoint at all. The wait is starting to kill me between installments, but I can't stop now that I've had a true taste of what the show offers.

That was great. The last time I saw a baby eaten was Hellsing Ultimate. Most shows just don't have the guts to show children being killed, much less savaged by their own, undead mother. It doesn't even feel like a cheap ploy to get us to hate him, that's long since been accomplished. It feels perfectly natural to me that this is something Dio would do at this point. Just another night's work for him.

Oh, and first Dio, and now "Dire and Straits"? I can definitely dig that.

Until someone else pointed it out I didn't realize it, but the scene where the mother was turned into a zombie and then she killed her baby kind of symbolizes how inhuman Dio has become. Since when he was human, while he was a bastard, he still cared about his mother and her love, but in this scene, he so lightly separates a mother from her child (in the most nasty of ways).
