Hard plastic?
Also, is it playable?
I wouldn't say hard plastic , it's like rubbery type plastic , has the rubbery touch to it.

Hard to explain. :U

It's probably PVC which is the same as Revoltechs.

Rubbery?
Nuff said. Playable it is then. Are the joints durable?

It is fully painted PVC, similar to those of Gundam Fix Figuration and EMSiA, but the finish is of a better quality, aka Volks professional finish by factory workers in China. Height is approximately 16-17cm. Shiranui, Fubuki and Strike Eagle are shorter ones though. The Phantom series are also shorter but have more volume.

Joints are okay, but difficult to manipulate, much like a complex Revoltech like the Blade Liger. There may be a chance of them breaking, but it may only apply to the older releases. I'll say poseable, but not as playable as Revoltechs due to the paint job and complexity of the joints.

Volks figures are always the industry leader in sculpt and looks, but A3s are also reasonably poseable. Kotobukiya has complete gimmicks and smooth surfaces as opposed to rough pvc. Their proportions are okay, not skinny like the Volks one. I personally think the Shiranui 2nd looks relatively disgusting in Koto but the rest are excellent. Revoltech are good for posing but their proportions do not do justice in capturing the beauty of TSFs.

I know that Revoltechs are traditionally mainly ABS, but it appears that the Muv Luv ones have been down graded to PVC.

Tried to fit my N22YX with gun sweeper load out with both the jump units , it's a bit unstable , had to make the body lean a bit forward to counter it.

Will post pic later...

What sort of stands to you guys use for A3s? I tried using the current Robot Damashii ones but they aren't that good. The old black ones without the adjustable arms tend to be better, or maybe I should try to human figure use ones.

According to Kotobukiya's page, the Non Scale Terminator's camouflage is confirmed to be in the form of giant sized decals. I had pretty much speculated this before when it was announced. In addition, there will be pre-painted parts for small areas.

The stock photos look good, but it appears the shoulders are still a bit too large.

On another note, the Non-Scale Type-00F Yui DX is being reissued. The flying base is certainly out, but I am not sure about the Tank Class and blood paint. Either way, one can buy it to mass produce and paint it into the Type-00R/F of their choice. The kit comes with both visors. I guess most Non-Scale Koto kits will now be 5800 yen.

Will there be figures of TE's minor characters like Fikatskia Latrova? Their designs would work very well with figures.

I could say the same with the characters from Schwarzesmarken. Carnelian-designed characters need more figures in general.

...build your own?

No, I'm serious. The simplest (and somewhat expensive) way would be to buy 1/6 scale doll bodies and have someone custom-build a Yuzuka head for it. (Simple because there's a lot of 1/6 scale G.I.Joe or Barbie-like clothing and accessories available, the head is the only real toughie)

The cheaper but harder way? Learn the dark art of Figma/figure modding.

I like your idea. But a custom built head? I'd need to ship it from somewhere.
Will look into it though. Also, 1/6 scale bodies. I'll have to look around in my country too. Don't even have full collection of Mr. Color paints here. Damnits.

Actually, you coudl also buy an existing doll/figure, modify it with clothing and it might even work...take this for example:
http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1

I know that some 1/6 JGSDF figures exist, so Japanese forces fatigues are available somewhere. The black shirt is also easy (You can even order a couple from Azone or Amiami, I think), and all you need is a jacket and dogtags...

...and I think you won't have trouble customizing Yuzuka's hairpin.

That pin doesn't seem that hard. Her hime-cut is a bigger issue.
Also, sold out on preorder.
Everyone is richer now it seems.
