well the topic went a bit off because everybody was writing what if anime were real........
but this is " I wish anime was real"

so according to the topic....I wish anime was real because that way my life would be more interesting and probably more fun. I don't need harem or epic battles. Just a cute girlfriend and many many friends to hang out with.

Most of the story in animes are possiblilites, the possiblities that could happen to human
beings in a certain time. They are highly creative and propose the future of our world sometimes.

Sometimes they are in a form of question. For instance, in Psycho-Pass the viewers are being asked what will you be if there is a system such as Sybil that replace the government ? What is the value of law and order if the gun can decide whether to execute the criminal/suspect.

Those thing can be real in the future of our society and the plot of that anime can even use as a resource to strive for a system like Sybil even not to the extend of implementing it in the lethal device like gun. Verification devices like eye scanners are already widely use in our society. The next level is to link to verification device with authorization systems directly without the
intervention of human processing. Psycho-Pass took the level of authorization to the extent of Sybil system which is extreme. But the thing to note in here is that the people already have the ideas for their future which can be real.

Another anime that I would like to take note is Angel Beat!. It pay visit to the possibilities of after life. What will you be after you die ? There is after-life in Buddhisim but unlike the Buddhism concept, the anime explore the after-life world where the people with soul and without souls exists together. In this case we can't
even determine it can be real or not since there is still no scientific exploration on after-life.

Another one will be Shin Sekai Yori. It propose the serious statements of establishing the communism to control supernatual abilities and the rebellion of molerats turned human being. The anime made use of the elements such as bio-genetic transformations, democracy, communism and phychokinesis. The basic question being asked is what will be happen if there is a thing as Psycho-kinese exist. Do we have to change our way of life? So, the animes propose the ideas of what can be real and sometimes they asked a question of how will the society will deal with it if that's happened.

Okay, if anime was real, the first thing we must consider is: What is the genre?

Then identify what is the general tone of the story and where it sits in the Sliding Scales of Idealism vs Cynicism.

And then consider your status in the cast.

Even if all we get stuck in is a rom com, there's no telling we could be a main character.

There are a billion things that could go wrong even if anime was real.

As for me, I'll probably be background character number 1238731413.
