I mean, I sortof see a moon in the background, but I really don't get the space feeling from the sig *shrug* maybe if you cleared out more of the gauzy white and showed more stars and moon, I'd have a different feeling.

Yay for space, it was one of the banner themes that I thought was cool. Glad it's being used this month. It's kind of weird though...this year is the 40th celebration of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon and the first SOTM theme of this year is space.

Unless you want the font to be the focal, you might want to lighten the font, make the font more transparent, or darken the blacks on the character. The font pulls the attention away from everything else, making the space on the right seem larger than it is. If the font is supposed to be the focal, you might want to consider cropping some of the right side off? [Not sure about that, but....]

Umm I don't know if it's your intention, but the quality is very low. Will saving them in JPEG be better? As for the border, I'm usually bias towards no border, but I think the 3rd one is the best. However, I think you can still play around with it.

Version four. @Katocchi; I like the first one best. The beveled effect on the last one isn't very appealing to me, and I'm not really a fan of the second border style.

You do a good job of filling space with this signature. What I'd worry about is where your focal is. Look at where your eyes are pulled and ask yourself if that's where you want it to be. At this point, I think the focal of your signature is the background because there's the most contrast in that area. Your signature is heavy on the left side in terms of balance. Just something to consider. It could also possibly be because there's nothing on the top right side. Ah, I didn't catch this before. You might also want to lighten the bands on her arm[s, if you think that's better] a tiny bit. Right now, the band on her right arm attracts the most attention. It's not bad; it lets my eyes go from her eyes to her arm to the text easier, but it's a little distracting. Last edited by OceanBlue; 2009-01-05 at 17:20. |
